Pylea Beach Hotel in Ialyssos

This hotel is the definition of quiet and relaxation. Food is good and diversified, the rooms are clean, friendly staff and everything is civilised. The sunbeds on the beach are free of charge (just across the hotel). You won't see parties here, loud music or kids screaming. Just calmness, waves, a beach bar, clean pools and beautiful gardens with beautiful flowers. Everything is exactly how you see it in the pictures. If you want to visit Rhodos, you can go in the bus station and u will get there in 25 minutes.( it's 3 euro/person and u can pay only by card to the driver).Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Simple rooms but it's exactly what you pay for. The staff is very nice from house keeping to servers. My wife asked if there was gluten free bread available and the lady working breakfast said no but asked how long we were staying. The next day the lady came with a package of gluten free bread. That made my wife's day. If we ever come back to Rhodes we will be staying again.

The location - right on the beach is great but you know that before you go. I liked it because it was so relaxed….refreshing not to have to hand over passports and fill in forms when you’re tired after a long journey. The room was really good…everything you would want it to be and a balcony overlooking the sea - we were happy! Loved the pool…it was never busy which was great. Enjoyed swimming in the sea too - don’t forget your beach shoes though! I would say that this hotel is great value, given what we paid. There was a decent selection for breakfast…it’s always an issue for me though as I don’t eat meat or eggs but there was enough for me to have. So, here’s the down side for us…The only issue we had…and it’s nothing to do with the hotel…is the lack of authentic Greek restaurants. We were so looking forward to finding a few there but were disappointed. No, I don’t particularly want to eat pizza or pasta in Greece, no, I don’t want to listen to a duo singing Tom Jones tracks - whatever happened to traditional Greek music? If I go to a restaurant and would like two starters at the same time as my husband’s main meal, what’s the issue? We did get the bus into Rhodes Town and that was well worth the trip…would be a shame not to go there and the bus is inexpensive.

The welcome (very late evening) was perfunctory rather than warm with very little information given. We also had a noisy a/c unit. However, once we were switched to room 401 (for a small surcharge) we were very happy. The hotel is very well managed, kept clean, the food is good and....particularly we liked the quiet. I would happily go back.

We had a fantastic view from our room, 315 looking across the sea to the Turkish coast and below to the well-kept garden and swimming pool. The room was immaculate. Breakfast was superb with a large choice of continental and cooked food. The owners, Zachi and George could not have been more helpful and all the staff were so kind. The poolside bar was well-stocked where we were able to buy a range of snacks and meals. Emanuella who runs the bar, was wonderful with a great sense of humour. This is a superb hotel and we recommend it.

Arrived after 11pm and were made very welcome from the start.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful everyday.
We stayed HB which suits us whenever we are away. If people wanted food or drink during the day there was a pool/beach bar open everyday.
Never a problem getting a sun bed. There were free sunbeds on the pebble beach too for hotel guests.
Access to Rhodes Town was very easy from the main road, because of our location 11km out we could always get a seat on the bus. After our bus stop, people had to stand on the very crowded bus.
We hired a car for 3 days from Superior Cars (just around the corner) which was very straightforward and we would recommend.

Pleasant stay at Pylea Beach Hotel. Quiet, unassuming, nice, clean, simply but tastefully furnished hotel in a great location across from the beach with free sun beds. No noise, no annoying entertainment- just a very chilled holiday that we really wanted as a working couple in our late 50s. Room good and looked recently refurbed. Staff friendly especially Emanouella at the beach bar. Do have a chat with her! We so miss having a relaxed breakfast and 5 o’ clock drink with those sea views. Oh and the planes didn’t bother us , in fact I think we became plane spotters 😂 and often played plane bingo! We didn’t eat an evening meal at the hotel. Tomatini was a fav and Billy’s Sports Bar was quite a pleasant surprise with a nice outside area to eat and drink- both places with lovely staff. The Bayside Taverna did a lovely moussaka and also lamb chops. Again lovely view of the sea. Rhodes Town was lovely- €22.50 there and €20 back. We didn’t give a 5 rating as we would have liked a courtesy room or something for the very late flight. We couldn’t get a late checkout, so had to shower and change in the swimming pool shower and changing rooms but it was bearable and at least we were clean for the flight. Would def stay at Pylea again. I suggest you do your research and look at google maps so you can get a feel for the area and what is around.

Everything was great with the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. I have opted for dinner, too, and it was pretty good. I just have one suggestion ..it will be good if u can put the name of dishes as it was very hard to know what it is.

Fabulous Spotless Small Hotel We were there last week. 6 of us (60+ ) girlfriends with separate rooms. This place was not our first choice because original hotel we’d booked with Jet2 was not ready and 3 days before our trip we were placed in this hotel in a totally different resort in Rhodes. We weren’t happy and we were so disappointed. However : This small family run hotel was fabulous. Staff very friendly - really accommodating - nothing too much trouble. We were there at start of season - other guests of similar or younger age. Hotel was not full. No children there. Absolutely spotless. Comfortable rooms with air con and everything working and lovely comfy big beds. Cleaned and bed changed every day. Pool -big for swimming and lots of space for sunbathing. Well maintained gardens with beautiful flowers and sunbathing space. Direct access to beach with free sun beds and loads of space. Pool bar with snacks and drinks - fab. Breakfast - really extensive choice - hot and cold - great Lounge and reception areas - lovely outside and in. Drinks so reasonable. Everything in hotel - really good value for money. Short transfer to airport. Bus to Local villages and Rhodes Town - easy and quick. One or two local restaurants that we liked - Pegasus and the amazing Kalagris in Kremasti. Italian restaurant that we liked next door and small supermarket. This hotel is only 4.8 km from Rhodes airport so is directly on the flight path. Planes coming over regularly. Didn’t bother us but might irritate some people. We did not find any small Greek tavernas locally. One or two of us felt that there was not much authentic Greek where we were. We will be back..
