Niriides Hotel in Kolimbia

I strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

During my stay, €420 was stolen from my room, and the management showed absolutely no concern. The maids were suspected, yet the staff did not care or take any responsibility, which was both shocking and upsetting.

The staff in general were rude and unhelpful, with no sense of customer care. Instead of supporting guests, they dismissed problems and treated us poorly.

The food was extremely disappointing – poor quality, repetitive, and in some cases barely edible. Combined with the lack of hospitality, it made for a very unpleasant experience.

Overall, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Between the theft, the appalling service, and the low quality of food, I would not recommend Niriides Hotel to anyone. Save your money and choose another hotel in Rhodes where you’ll actually be treated with respect and feel secure.

I cannot express how disappointed and upset I actually am at my stay here. On day 2 of the holiday we tried to get an early checkout and relocate hotels. Most guests are from Central European countries and the hotel is directed towards this. All Tourist information and the day trips/tours are in German. This wouldn’t be so bad apart from the guests were staring, whispering, pointing and even straight up laughing at us. We were only eating at the restaurant or sitting by the pool and we were made to feel so uncomfortable and singled out. The bar man in the pool bar was the rudest man I’ve ever encountered in my life. I asked for a pineapple juice and he looked at me like I had asked for his left kidney. Everything he served tasted like water and sugar syrup. I’m not expecting Botanist style cocktails but even a basic rum and Coke tasted like poison. The food was absolutely awful, I am not a picky eater at all but it was a poor tasteless selection of food. There is no snack bar available throughout the day, which I think is absurd for an all inclusive. We were there 6 nights and there was only one evening where there was entertainment. The only saving grace was the rooms themselves, very clean, good sized room, comfy bed. Thankfully we managed to find a great beach bar where we rented 2 sunbeds for €20 a day, the food and drinks there were 10/10! In the evenings Eucalyptus street offered some decent bars and restaurants. We needed up eating all our meals and drinks outside of the hotel in the end and using the hotel just as a room to sleep in.

To look at this hotel you would be mistaken to think it was of high standard. Don’t get me wrong the rooms were clean, basic but clean. The hotel pool was clean and good. Here is where it all falls down the food is sub standard and same almost every day with the same dish being recycled a few days in a row. Very limited selection of food and gets boring after a few days. Oh and let’s not miss out the staff on reception customer service sis laughable they are rude beyond belief. My son and daughter in law with their two young babies had 400 euros stolen by a cleaner the staff could not care less we were made to feel like we were the issue and not their thieving staff members. I tried to help a French person get access to the the hotel mobile phone charger and was verbally abused by the receptionist because the tourists keep breaking the cable and why should the hotel replace it but made to feel like I was the one who broke it (did not even use the cable). My daughter in law asked for change for the vending machine and was told she could only get 5 euros not 10 this was last day. On one of the two entertainment nights the night manager told us off at 11pm for being too loud when everyone was just having fun. The manager was a joke he wouldn’t even come and speak to us about the missing money and we were told report it to the police, if you can the nearest station you need a car for, they attitude was disgusting avoid this hotel at all costs.

Absolutely shocking horrible staff apart of the bartenders. Rooms are basic. We experienced a robbery 400€ were stolen by maids and the hotel couldn't care less. The receptionist show no care for our concerns especially when we were robbed and when our rooms were falling apart such as leaking and broken AC which was a room with 2 babies staying in it they did nothing to fix what we had asked and didn't care what our concerns where. The manager was asked to get involved with the robbery and he told us he was too busy to deal with us. Food is disgusting and is always the same stuff. They have no entertainment except 2 nights a week.

We stayed at Niriides Hotel in Kolymbia, Rhodes and unfortunately, it was the worst service we have ever experienced. The staff were unfriendly from the very beginning, and instead of feeling welcome, we constantly felt like we were bothering them. On the first day we found out that bottled water is not provided in the rooms. Despite paying for all inclusive, you can only get water during restaurant/bar opening hours, and only in tiny cups. In the middle of summer, with small children, this is completely unacceptable. We had to buy our own water just to make sure the kids stayed hydrated. Whenever we went to the bar to ask for water, the waiter (Angelos) acted annoyed every single time, as if we were doing something wrong just by asking. The internet connection is unstable and kept disappearing, which made our stay even more frustrating. The worst moment came on the last day. Our 2-year-old son was still sleeping during breakfast, so I made a couple of small sandwiches in case he got hungry on the one-hour bus ride to the airport. The chef or head waiter actually came to tell us that we were not allowed to take them. So instead of letting food that was already prepared go to a child, they preferred to throw it away! In every other hotel we have stayed at, a take-away breakfast for departure day was always provided without any problem. The only positive thing I can mention is the cleaning staff – the ladies were polite and did their job well. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. This hotel is not family friendly, does not meet even the basic expectations of an all-inclusive stay, and treats guests with very little respect. We cannot recommend it to anyone.
