Reviews
Location was fantastic as in the middle of everything and a short distance from the beach. Looking to book again.
1. Very kind and empathetic ladies at the reception, especially the one working during the day — always attentive and helpful.
2. Bartenders work efficiently and serve quickly.
3. Delicious gyros, pizza, and grilled meat: definitely one of the highlights.
Negative sides:
1. In the evenings, the music is often too loud and heavy (like Metallica or heavy metal). It’s hard to understand why the management thinks this kind of music is suitable for hotel guests. It would be much nicer to have relaxing background music instead. My comment about the loudness and music style was ignored.
2. Animation is extremely loud. It was fun for the first few days, but later it became annoying. I came to rest, not to wake up to loud sounds every morning. It caused unnecessary stress and completely ruined my sleep schedule: now I can’t fall asleep before 1 a.m.
3. Food quality varies. Some dishes are tasty, but others not so much. The salad selection is small and gets repetitive after a week. One day the wine was nice, the next day terrible, even though I asked for the same red one. It feels like the hotel tries to save money wherever possible.
4. Sunbeds by the pool are old, and some have nails sticking out — nobody fixed this in nine days, which is unsafe.
5. No slippers, bathrobes, or toiletries, which should be standard for a 4★ hotel. In reality, this place feels more like a 3★, and that’s being generous.
6. Cleaning is inconsistent, and towels were not always fresh. But all of this is minor compared to the loud heavy-metal evenings. Please, don’t stress your guests like that!
7. Bathroom door doesn’t lock, and the main room door can only be closed with a lot of effort, it's really uncomfortable.
8. Saw cockroaches twice in the restaurant, and there were small flies in the food.
Overall, the impression is rather disappointing. With a few improvements and more attention to guest comfort, this hotel could be much better — but right now, it definitely doesn’t feel like a 4★ experience.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfy. Definitely recommend getting a room by the smaller private pool.
Evening entertainment was fun, and while the buffet food got a bit samey, the woodfired pizza and gyros were a great touch. Not loads to do in Kolympia itself, but the public transport makes it easy to get around. Overall, a great stay🙌🏻
Other than that the hotel made for a great comfortable base from which to explore and unwind :)
Hotel – Good quality overall, with 2 pools (I recommend the second one hidden behind the outdoor bar, much quieter). The hotel isn’t really suitable for kids – there is a small playground but no slides or water attractions, which actually suited us. There weren’t many children here. Sunbeds were always available. Rooms are standard, with a safe, balcony, TV, and air conditioning – everything worked fine. There’s also a gym, table tennis, and billiards.
Food – Excellent, above standard. Always a wide selection: sweet and savory breakfasts, eggs in many styles, waffles, fruit, etc. Lunch and dinner were also very varied – meat, vegetables, side dishes, sushi, salmon, lasagna, seafood… it changed every day (except breakfast). Great desserts as well. Truly above standard for this category. Plus, by the pool every day they offered pizza and gyros.
Drinks – Surprisingly good beer, and about 8 cocktails to choose from. No single-use plastic cups. Ice cream was nothing special.
Entertainment – Rich program, something every evening, though it means sleeping before 11 pm isn’t really possible – which didn’t bother us.
Staff – Excellent, always very helpful and smiling. Our toilet was leaking, and they immediately gave us a new room, no problem. On departure day, we asked if we could take a shower (we no longer had a room), and they gave us towels… Reception really gives the impression that nothing is impossible.
Surroundings – Weaker. There are some bars (I recommend Oasis), but just a few streets; after that, not much. I recommend renting a scooter from Max Moto, just one street away from the hotel. For coffee, I recommend To Nisaki café by the sea.
Sea – A bit farther, about 10 minutes’ walk. The beach is average, not great but not terrible either. Sunbeds are paid.
Negatives – The hotel Wi-Fi is basically just for show, practically unusable. Coffee is very weak and cheap everywhere in the hotel since they use the same machines.
Overall – Very good and above standard, we can truly recommend it.
Stay at the Casa Cook was more than amazing experience.
The atmosphere, the vibe, the quiet, the place itself were like a dream for a five days.
The team, aseptically Tsampika were so nice and carefully , they took care of everything we needed.
