RK Beach Hotel in Kamari

Mark Warner should be ashamed. For what they charge this hotel isn’t acceptable. To start with the positives, the staff are generally great and the food is good. Now the negatives. Our room is not good. There’s no hot water, the wooden furniture is rotting, fixtures are broken or missing, the safe doesn’t work and the bedding and towels are stained. The room backs on to a rubbish tip. In the public areas, the pool cushion are really grubby, there’s no soap in the outside loos, the aircon isn’t working in the gym. Now this might be acceptable if you’ve paid less than GBP100 per night but we’re paying over 6k for a week. Mark Warner should be ashamed! L.

Having been on Mark Warner holidays in the past i knew what to expect, unfortunately the hotel was looking rather tired and lacked attention to detail. I can’t fault the mark warner team who did a great job all week, it's just disappointing that the hotel is tired and lacking attention to detail. 1. Poorly finished room in need of refurbishment – ensuite was tired, corroded taps, shower traps completely missing so both ensuites (interconnecting rooms) smelt like a sewer. Paintwork scruffy and poorly finished. Hole in ceiling of ensuite from rodent or birds. No extractor fans in bathrooms. Water is dangerously hot in excess of 80 degrees c. and would scold if you nock the shower valve thats not thermostatic. Serious risk for young children. Mirrors tarnished. When it rained the internal downpipe leaked in the boxing and made the bedroom floor wet. You can tell the decoration and finish elsewhere in the hotel is lacking attention to detail. Doors in corridor of the hotel are cheap and noisy to close. 2. Sunbeds are dirty, torn, stained and in some cases broken. I picked up a wet dirty towel that had blown into the soil of the garden border and I left it on the path for it to be collected by the groundman who was collecting the bins. I watched the groundman who was cleaning the bins place the soiled wet towel onto a sunbed mat! I also watched the Greek hotel's senior manager watch a bin blow over in the wind and turn his back to it and prefer to chat to the bar staff. Poorly finished concrete paths, lack of effort on landscaping and planting with dead grass. 3. Behind the hotel is a disorganised dump for boats, pallets, rubbish. 4. Canteen self-service food was good, but lunch is a bit ordinary, needs better coffee! You might want to walk down the beach to Kanaloa Beach bar. 5. Beach has large stones that make it unpleasant getting into the sea. 6. The sunset is blocked by a hill. 7. The topography is not ideal for sailing and makes the wind rather inconsistent. 8. The massive hotels next door have boats and jet ski's with absolute amateurs roaring around and they don't care about the mark warner watersports area. Overall layout of hotel poorly considered - for example premium rooms with a private pool that look out onto the childcare building and below the canteen kitchen. Mark warner - please take note and find a better hotel!

We booked Kamari Beach several months in advance and arrived full of expectations for our 4-star all-inclusive holiday. Instead, we were told upon arrival that our booking had been cancelled and that we were “relocated” without our knowledge or consent to Palm Bay, a 2-star half-board property. When speaking to staff at Palm Bay, they openly admitted that this is something Kamari Beach does frequently – it is almost a system of overbooking between cooperating hotels. Even the Kamari Beach reception accidentally admitted this practice. The management at Kamari Beach later tried to claim that they had “done everything to contact us,” but this was a complete lie – there were no calls, no emails, and no contact made to us, Ticket.se, or their hotel partners. Once we finally managed to get a room at Kamari Beach, we noticed further issues: • Activities such as tennis, aqua gym, and water polo were primarily organized for UK charter guests. We, as international all-inclusive guests, were never informed about how to join or book them. • The restaurant and service staff consistently favored UK package guests over others. We were not welcomed in the same way or given the same information. • In contrast, the staff at Palm Bay’s restaurant were much friendlier and service-minded – a big thumbs up to them – but of course, that was not what we had paid for, so the entire experience was disappointing. Some positives: the buffet food at Kamari was of good quality, and both the pool bar and taverna offered excellent lunches. Beer was served in frosted glasses, and the house wine was very good. However, the all-inclusive package felt limited: • Drinks stopped at 23:00. • Very few cocktail options. • Snacks were basically nonexistent outside main meals. Overall, what should have been a relaxing 4-star all-inclusive holiday was overshadowed by dishonest management, unfair treatment of non-UK guests, and lack of transparency. We paid for a 4-star resort but were treated as second-class guests. Avoid this hotel if you want peace of mind and fairness.

We had a fully paid, confirmed booking at Kamari Beach. When we arrived with our family (5 people), they told us there was no room – even though they already knew the day before. Instead of informing us, they waited until we arrived late at night and then tried to send us to a worse hotel far away. We later learned this was not the first time they did this to guests. Completely irresponsible, dishonest, and disrespectful. They nearly destroyed our holiday. Avoid this hotel at all costs!
