The Vasilicos in Imerovigli

Our stay at The Vasilicos was nothing short of exceptional. The location is perfect — close enough to enjoy everything Santorini has to offer, yet blissfully removed from the busy, touristy center of Fira. It feels peaceful, private and beautifully serene. The views are breathtaking in every direction. Whether you’re relaxing on your terrace or by the pool, the caldera scenery is simply unforgettable. One of the highlights for us was the heated pool. It’s warmed during April and May, which means that even in early June the water stays pleasantly warm, despite the heating already being turned off. It made swimming incredibly enjoyable. The pool area itself is lovely, offering a calm atmosphere and plenty of space to unwind. The rooms deserve a special mention — they are stunning. We stayed at the Vasilicos suite, spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, with that luxurious yet relaxed Santorini feel. The service was equally impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. Overall, The Vasilicos is a gem. Beautiful views, perfect location, amazing rooms, and top‑tier service. We would return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely incredible place!!

My wife's and I stayed at the Vasilicos in early September 2025 and it was the best place we have ever stayed, and maybe ever will. We booked the Belvedere Suite for our honeymoon and we could not have asked for anything more. The staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Vanessa was an excellent host who met our every need. Chris was the most accommodating and attentive staff member that we have ever encountered. The staff alone is worth the stay. The location was also 10/10. This was our first time in Santorini and we were not sure what to expect. After staying here, it is our opinion that this hotel has the perfect location. Walking distance to both Fira and Imerovigli, and you are far enough away from the hustle of both places while still feeling like you are right in the action of everything. Our room was large and dreamy, and impeccably clean. However, the ultimate reason to stay here is the VIEWS. Every morning when you walk out to your terrace you will laugh to yourself. It is that beautiful that it brings you to your knees and it is hard to comprehend that this is a real place that you get the privilege to stay in. Finally, we made a life long friend in the resort cat, Summer. She was the cutest most loving cat and our stay would not have been the same without her (and the incredible staff!). I don't usually write a review and yet , my husband and I had the most amazing experience at The Vasilicos, I wanted others who are vacillating over if they should go or not, TO GO. First of all the communication leading up to our trip went without a hitch, because of the detailed work of Dimitris. He really took care of everything ahead of time to ensure our 40th wedding anniversary was a very special experience. We so appreciated him and the rest of the V team. Chris was also friendly, joyful, took care of us and all of our needs at The Vasilicos and Santorini. We loved that he came and set up our table in the mornings and then brought our breakfast to us at the specific time we had requested. The food is so delicious and they also made either a homemade banana bread or pumpkin bread that was so moist. The two ladies that cleaned our room and the property were so kind and had our room looking great when we came back to it and their attention to detail was impeccable. We also meet our neighbors next to us and went out to dinner with them one night. We ended up exchanging our phone numbers with them. What a pleasant surprise to find someone from the States and connect with them. We will certainly be back to their beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel. The view is absolutely captivating and I couldn't believe I was able to partake in God's amazing Creation each moment we were there. Teresa

We stayed in late October in the Vasilicos. Experience was fantastic starting with the kind and gentle crew that staffed the hotel. They made the experience truly unique. Taking care of every little detail from heartwarming breakfast to connecting us with all the sightseeing experiences in Santorini. The wonderful views combined with a very comfortable suite that included a private heated pool, allowed us to relax and have a much needed rest. We had a wonderful stay at The Vasilicos. The setting was beautiful, the location excellent and the service outstanding. The room itself was fun and comfortable and the staff made every effort to make your stay easy and memorable. We hated to leave.

We had wanted to visit this hotel for many years and it was well worth the wait. From the personal touches, the amazing team, the views, the sunsets and the location perched on the cliff just on the edge of all the action, it was hard to leave the balcony to explore the island. Only 7 rooms so never felt crowded and its location is not quite overlooked like many of the other hotels on the cliffs.

We had the most incredible 3-night stay at The Vasilicos, and we can’t say enough about how special this place is. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly team – Vanessa, Chris, Dimitris, and Daphne – made us feel completely at home. Their hospitality and genuine kindness made the experience unforgettable. The location is absolutely perfect: close enough to walk (20 minutes or less) to fantastic restaurants, yet wonderfully tucked away from the crowds. It felt like a private retreat, offering peace and seclusion without sacrificing convenience. And the sunsets… absolutely unreal. Watching the sun dip into the sea each evening from this spot truly felt like a slice of paradise on earth. If you’re looking for a combination of beauty, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality, The Vasilicos is everything you could dream of. We’re already looking forward to returning.

The Vasilicos was one of the most amazing hotels we have ever been. The view of the Caldera was extremely stunning and we were pretty much happy just staying on our terrace, relax in our pool or on the comfortable sunbeds. The breakfast there was so good and we got everything we liked :) The room was perfect, we felt so comfortable. Particularly the shower was quite unique and a very positive surprise. All in all the hotel felt just great and we can definitely recommend it for a romantic and relaxing stay in Santorini. We'd go to no other hotel anymore. The absolute best part was the team! They provided every support from arranging transfers to and from the hotel, preparing a beautiful surprise for my wife in the room, to little ice creams and water throughout our stay. We felt that everyone really cared that we have the best stay and that the experience at the Vasilicos is simply great. Thank you so much, we felt part of a little family there!
