Strogili Traditional Houses in Oia

My friend and I went Santorini for the first time this October, we stayed in Strogili traditional homes for 3 nights, it was a super lovely experience there.

The hotel location is perfect - facing the famous Caldera and Aegean Sea; a market is just a few steps away in case you want to grab a bottle of water; we stayed in room #3, it’s off the road but not too far, so we didn’t hire a porter to carry our luggage to our room; and breakfast was great.

Besides all that, I would like to mention the service.
The first night we arrived very late - past 9 pm due to the late flight, hotel staff Popi waited for us, she helped us filled out our breakfast order for next morning, then showed us the room. She even helped us with the bed situation without being asked.

The following days, hotel staff Ioannis helped us with a few requests - airport transfer, restaurant reservation, and best spots for sightseeing. He was always nice and gracious.

This hotel staying made our Santorini trip a very special and memorable experience.

Breathtaking views. Very quiet. Super friendly staff - the breakfast guy was the highlight of our days. Everything was clean. I can not recommend this place enough if you want to stay in Oia. It's a little off the busy main road, but close enough so you can comfortably walk to the hot spots.

This hotel is great value, I paid £670 for 3 nights but with the most stunning balcony over the caldera. I went September 5-8. Couldn’t see the sun fully setting but you get the whole ambience still. We stayed in room 9.

Rooms are cosy but still has everything we need, hot water was a challenge though!

Pool was a couple mins walk from the accommodation, not a problem. It had great views there is a pool bar for drinks and food comes from a separate restaurant. Drinks are so expensive and are really average. Cocktails 14-18 euros, pretty standard in Santorini but unneccessary. Food was burgers/pizzas/salads/toasties and much more reasonable with a margarita around 10 euros and actually very tasty.

The pool itself is so clear and early September we had the pool mostly to ourselves!

Location of hotel is great about max 5mins to the entry into to the walking part of Oia, nice little handy supermarket less than 30 seconds walk from our room great for waters. Staff were lovely and kind. Room had a fridge with a tiny freezer compartment great for ice.

We mostly got take away food and sat on our balcony and admired the amazing view. Every time we opened the doors it was like a dream.

This Hotel is a hidden gem, we stayed in room 7 and it was perfect! I could have stayed out on our porch the whole trip. The view was unbelievable. I kept taking pictures of the same sunset and sunrise because it was just so breathtaking. Down the way to the best shops and restaurants and next to a market. It was truly perfect and Sofia was so nice and very helpful. I was so lucky to find this hidden gem!

Lovely hotel at an excellent location! We loved walking into Oia every day and the easy access to the Oia to Fira hike - it took about an hour to get to Oia’s highest point from the hotel. The breakfast was also good and the pool is nice! The rooms are basic. Minimum stairs which is great - other friends we talked to had sore calf muscles from walking up/down stairs daily to their hotel. Would recommend!

Impressive view of the Caldera. Privacy and quietness. Nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. Great breakfasts while enjoying the sea views. Swimming pool just 50 metres away from the cliff-hanging resort. An invigorating experience away from daily rush!!

A very quiet place with a perfect view of the caldera. The staff was most helpful and the private breakfast on the patio was excellent. We would definitely go back.
