Expensive hotels in Santorini

We visited Santorini recently with 10 other family members for our niece's wedding. El Greco was our hotel of choice. Great decision!! The complex is outstanding, with several beautifully maintained pools and surrounds. Generally it's a beautiful place. The room is awesome, the pools and plants. The only minuses are: nothing special for breakfast (like in a typical 3-4 star hotel) and the pools not heated (not even one)

Wonderful hotel and service was great. Easy walk to shops 10 mins. Bar service at pool and Esmerelda was great. Breakfast not so good, food not hot e.g. bacon eggs etc. Location was excellent

Traveling with two kids, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the location is excellent ,  less than a 10-minute walk to Fira and the bus stop. The breakfast was also good. The only downside was that the staff were quite rude and not very friendly, which was disappointing considering how nice everything else was.

The resort itself is lovely, but the view from our room was of a wall. No one at reception spoke Italian, and the sweet options at breakfast were disappointing.

Hotel has large, spacious room, and depending where you are located you are very close to one of the many pools the hotel has to offer. Almost 10 min walk to Fira Breakfast was included and amazing. My husband can’t stop thinking about the burger! He got it twice in 5 days and it was worth every cent! Bed was great! Awesome pillows. Staff were amazing on reception and concierge - special mention to Georgia (I think her name was) who help make our short stay very memorable with her sage advice on how to fill our time. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Kamari. Kid friendly, with kind and helpful staff. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious, with so many options to choose from. Our time was limited but there was no sun in the back of our room like the other sections.

Great hotel, friendly staff, great rooms, great beds, low pressure water in the showers, great massage, great pools and nearby beach, very good breakfast. There was an island power outage but the hotel owns a power generator which allowed for some power to exist, better than nothing. There is noise from passing airplanes, but you get used to it, it doesn't bother at night. Good gym. Recommended!

Such a beautiful resort with Aesthetic interiors. Special mention for one of the staff, Androklis, he is by far the sweetest person we've met in Greece and really made our dinner pleasant.

Views, location and the room were really nice. However Breakfast was not good at all, opted to skip because of lack of fresh options and variety. Especially compared to the other hotels we stayed at we were certainly disappointed with the food. Hopefully they fix!

Fabulous hotel, exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel in Santorini. This resort is a real gem in a fantastic location. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, and getting into town is quick and easy. Just spent 7 days here hotel is in an ideal location only a few downfalls, no late check out available and also no shower facility to refresh before your flight home apart from that staff are nice and friendly good view from the pool and ideally ask for a pool view room as courtyard ones are in the thoroughfare of people coming and going with their suitcases

I really loved the hotel's ambiance. It was recommended by a friend in Greece, and I hope to bring my family here for vacation next year. Recently stayed here with my sister. Ordered a Caesar salad with Parmesan during lunch and the Parmesan had mold on it. The kitchen said that is normal and it’s just the salad. visited this hotel with my girlfriend in August and I can honestly say it was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room was beautiful, very clean, and offered an incredible view of the caldera. By far the best burger I've ever had during my 33 years on this planet we call earth! The patty was super juicy and perfectly grilled, again, the best burger I've had! I'm unfortunately unable to recall the name of the cocktail, but that as well was incredibly good! All in all, most bang for the bucks, just a really great place with attentive and respectful staff!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this hotel and it was an incredible experience. The staff was the best we have ever experienced and they truly took care of you through the entire stay and even assisted on helping us plan our daily excursions. The rooms were so clean and the rooms were very comfortable. We absolutely recommend and hope to come back one day!

This is a beautiful resort and the staff is attentive. However, it is a 20 minute walk into the shops of. OIA. This is next to impossible during the day as it is extremely hot shuttles are $25 for a five minute ride. I feel this should be offered to the guest free of charge. Other than that it’s a beautiful resort.

You never really know how an hotel will turn out, so thanks to Tripadvisor reviews we eventually settled on the Iliada Odysseus in Perivolos and were glad that we did. Rooms for two are completely sufficient, the resort has two pools and one has a bar. Breakfast is absolutely perfect! The sea, restaurants, shops nearby. We didn't miss anything. Everyone here is pleasant and kind. We were very satisfied. We recommend this resort to everyone.

Just back from a week at this hotel and it was great. All staff are very friendly. Breakfast wasn’t to our taste but there was always cereals and eggs. The shower heads are rusted but this is because it is sea water that comes out, the same as the sink. It’s a great location right beside the sea, with shop at end of street. Also the bus stops at the shop. My only complaint was the bed was to hard.

Hotel is very tired and needs a lot of attention. Staff are friendly and helpful. We booked a superior room but honestly don’t waste your money. It’s just a bog standard room with very low standard furnishings. Everything is rusty, dodgy light fittings. Kettle doesn’t switch off and pours steam out handle so you can’t touch it. The breakfast is really very basic, we’ve given up eating here and go...

Polite and friendly staff, as well as helpful if anything was ever needed. Breakfast is continental and served every morning until 10:30. Comfortable rooms and appropriate size for 4 guests. This is a very, very amazing hotel. The service is simply better than many five-star hotels. All the service staff are very professional. In the early morning of the check-in day, they even delivered pizza, helped with luggage and called taxis, and even gave you a small gift. It was really worth it. They also upgraded our room for free. We arrived too late and couldn't check into the hotel we originally...
