A beautiful hotel at a nice, quiet location close to the center (and even closer to the trams). The staff was really friendly, beds comfy, and breakfast tasty. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was that in our case the rooms weren't too clean and there were some ants inside near the balcony and in the bathroom.
Besides that we very much enjoyed our first stay in Budapest and I highly recommend Hotel Orion Varkert.

It's in the Buda district, and for Buda, it's pretty good. The transportation is convenient. However, I still feel staying in the Pest district is better. The hotel is very close to Buda Castle and Gellért Thermal Bath, both within walking distance.

We stayed for a couple of days here and found it ideal for us. The general decor and rooms are a little tired but it was still very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We had our breakfast included with our booking and this was a self-service sort of thing with a small selection of cereals, breads, cheeses etc. along with juices, teas and coffee. The staff were all very friendly. We found it fairly well located for our needs, in particular for the castle district and heading up the riverfront in Buda with nearby public transport. The transport to get to Pest wasn't quicker than walking but even so it's only about 15 mins walk to the Fashion Street area of Pest.

The room was a bit small, and the facilities were outdated. Breakfast options were also limited. However, the staff were friendly and kind. The best part is its proximity to the Danube River, just a 5-minute walk away. Public transportation isn't very convenient in the area, as there's no subway station, so getting around mainly relied on Bolt taxis.

I spent 2 nights here with my daughter in Budapest. First of all, if you move 100m from here, you can see the Danube River, and the Szechenyi Chain Bridge and the Parliament Building on the opposite side of the river. There is a Rudas Bath near the hotel, but it is not open to those under 14, so my daughter and I did not go there. However, all the men working the counter were friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good. I would choose this place again if I visit next time. However, the elevator space is small, so please keep that in mind.

The location is very convenient, and it is easy to take a bus to nearby attractions! Recommended to stay, good service attitude, will consider staying again next time, recommended for couples

We spent the New Year’s holiday with family, and nothing bothered me. We also got an excellent price compared to other hotels in similar locations in Budapest.

The room is not big and it is a budget hotel. We stayed there for three days and the breakfast varieties were almost the same. The room has no windows, and the smell in the bathroom is hard to get rid of. The front desk is still very welcoming, but the hotel door is a bit small and not easy to find.
