We stayed here for a few nights at the end of December. We were a bit worried due to the reviews( we didn’t look on google prior to booking, only after) and we were really worried for what we are going to get. We were very pleasantly surprised. The apartment was lovely, clean and huge!!!! We had 2 rooms for the 2 of us, could pick a bed, we chose the living room one as that looked comfier. Everything was nice, very clean, and really spoilt to have a shower and bath too. We had nothing bad to say about the apartment at all. We saw someone mentioning that there is no luggage room to leave your luggages after check out, which is not true, they have 2 small rooms. Cleaning also done daily, we are not an early riser couple and left the room between midday and 2pm and the cleaning was done without the card being left out. Overall very nice stay and would happily stay again here.

Apartment style hotel. Stayed in an apartment (though rooms are also available). Big appointment, well equipped.
The free spa (swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna) at the premises is a huge plus. Breakfast is rich with lots of options. Recommended if you are in the region.

I am writing this review specifically about the service and reception at Bliss Hotel Budapest, as we stayed in one of the long-term apartments located within the same building, which shares facilities like the lobby and reception area.
When booking our apartment, we were explicitly assured that we would be able to store our luggage in the Bliss Hotel's luggage room after check-out. We were told this would be "no problem" at all.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be a significant problem. Upon check-out, the staff at the Bliss Hotel reception flatly refused to store our luggage. Their justification was that they had nothing to do with the apartment we booked, even though it's the same building and we were promised this service. While this might be technically true from a corporate standpoint, it would have cost the hotel absolutely nothing to provide this basic courtesy.
As a result, we were left stranded with all our luggage and a small child outside the building, facing a five-hour wait until our scheduled departure back to Vienna.
In general, the staff at the Bliss Hotel reception were quite unfriendly. They displayed a complete lack of courtesy and willingness to help. I cannot comment on the quality of the actual hotel rooms, but the absolute absence of friendliness and customer service certainly does not bode well for the overall guest experience. This level of unhelpfulness is unacceptable, especially when guests are traveling with a child.
Recommendation: If you are staying in one of the apartments in this building and were promised access to Bliss Hotel facilities or services, be prepared for disappointment. The lack of hospitality is striking.

Hotel Bliss offered a convenient location and a reasonable price. The room was clean, although it showed signs of age, but still met a satisfactory standard. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We did not use the wellness facilities. Interesting sights are nearby, accessible both by public transport and on foot.

I made a reservation through booking.com with the option of payment upon arrival, however, after talking multiple staff members they told me that they only have prepaid reservations. The day I was suppose to check in, the staff member of the front desk upon making different faces as if he was having a stroke, and denying all the confirmation from our reservation of booking.com proceeded to tell me they didn’t have any room available. To top this the manager of the hotel told me the best he can do is give me access to the internet without a cost, so I can book another hotel.

After reading the recent reviews and speaking with the staff of booking.com it seems is a common practice of this “hotel” as they don’t have 24 hour reception, you need to prepay or make a new reservation directly through them. After being in the lobby and hearing the complaints of the customers better book somewhere ese, there are newer hotels in Budapest that are much better than this “hotel”.

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised on Booking. It is a residential building with apartments rented out, offering various amenities. My room required taking an elevator to the 5th floor, then walking 30 meters outdoors, followed by climbing 4 more flights of stairs – all while carrying luggage. The room had an unpleasant sewage odor, and there was noise due to the window facing an inner courtyard. The only positive aspects were the breakfast, the gym and the crew that is friendly.

We stayed in an apartment, full comfort, plus full access to swimming pool, gym and spa (one hammam and one sauna).
Breakfast is pretty good and varied.
Location is perfect, close to everything but not too noisy neighbourhood. You're 20 mn walk to litterally anything in the centre.

Good hotel in the absolute centre of Budapest. The hotel had it's own fitness club/gym with a hot bath, big heated (32 degree) pool, steam sauna and an ordinary sauna. The breakfast was a bit basic but not bad. There was everything you need. We where upgraded to a bigger room, well actually two rooms and a kitchen. Modern room with everything you need and there was actually a mini bar, which is not that common these days. Allover a great place for us. We could walk almost everywhere from the hotel.

Despite the dated 70s appearance of the reception area and the dirty, scratched elevators that don't inspire much confidence, the apartments upstairs are surprisingly nice. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit with a terrace that was nearly perfect. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows needed replacing as they were either too large or too small. The "spa" downstairs is part of a public gym, so it's very busy, especially in the evenings when people come to work out after work. Breakfast was acceptable—neither great nor terrible—except for the coffee, which was horrendous. I would consider returning because of the excellent location and the quality of the rooms, but I wouldn't pay extra for the wellness package as it was unenjoyable.

Excellent service, very polite and understanding people. The place is very close to the center you can go anywhere you want in 15-20 minutes walking. There are some problems though which are very important. No soundproofing at all. You can even hear footsteps and conversations. The worst bed mattress I have ever seen in a hotel room. We changed rooms the first day because of the above issues but the mattress was still awful. Like sleeping on.the floor. If you advertise as a nice relaxing spa hotel you should focus on wellness and comfort. People visit Budapest to relax but in contrary we had the worst sleeps ever. Not recommended.
