Great location, everything was within walking distance. The receptionist was extra kind and always smiling. The room was well equipped, we had everything we needed. We had a great time. An excellent place to stay!

We liked the high quality saunas and excellent cold plunge, but avoided the pools since they were mobbed by kids! Ditto for breakfast. This place caters to families, so go early if you want to avoid the noise!

We went to Portobello based on a recommendation of friends, who both have 2 kids each. We asked them to recommend a good spa hotel not too far away from Budapest and Portobello came up multiple times

The room isn't very large, but it feels cozy. It includes a spacious comfortable bad, brand-new furniture, and up-to-date plumbing. The room is excellently soundproofed. The hotel itself is contemporary and spotless

This hotel supposedly is a 4 star superior hotel, but I would give it hardly 3 stars. We arrived on a Monday and stayed till Friday. Tuesday late afternoon I informed reception that our room was not cleaned

Really weak value for money, definitely not a 4-star accommodation. They change towels only every third day, so you have to visit the spa three times with the same towel (quite unhygienic)

Beds were never made up, bathroom was never cleaned and vacuum cleaner never used in the room. Same for the rooms of my travel companions. And I guess we were still lucky

Being the only one following sauna etiquette makes you feel like a nudist😂

In the room was a leaflet from the hotel informing us they had a problem with some kind of beetle from the Donau and asked us to keep the balcony door closed

The Hotel Visegrád is really family friendly, the food is the best, spa is complex, free sauna. I recommend to all. Close to Danube and Visegrad Castle.

The services offered by the hotel were very pleasant (boat ride on the Danube, medieval show with soldiers and medieval weapons, several heated pools both outside and inside and the hospitality of the staff is a big plus for this hotel)

A newly built section with a huge jacuzzi and a beautiful sauna was open in the afternoon for adults only, and the other section became adults only in the evening hours

Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed & as a bonus we had a lovely view of part of the Danube and surrounding hills. Furniture & amenities were of extremely high standard in the lobby

If you’re a foreigner looking for a place with mainly local guests rather than other international tourists this is a great choice. And the view over the Danube river is simply breathtaking

Great hotel to visit Budapest especially for swimmers. There is a Turkish bath and another spa around the corner. Good tram connections with the city and Gellert baths. I love it here and I will definitely come back

Whenever I visit Budapest, this is the first place I try to book. Great value for the price, comfy, well equipped apartments, good location.

Next day, since the unit with a balcony occupied the day I checked in he offered me to stay there for a very reasonable upgrade price. All apartments were very clean and really made me feel like home

Zlatan the owner/manager was very helpful explaining every detail about the apartment. I am a smoker and my room had no balcony but there was a terrace one level up for smokers
