Friendly staff and helpful definitely will comb back
Pros: Location is ok, not near the main Kuta beach area, but plenty of food and massage options nearby, including a shopping mall. Aircon is very strong, good for hot Bali weather. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Hotel is quite dated, cleanliness of room could be better, broken tap fixtures, which required replacement at midnight. Hotel appears understaffed, not much service provided. No bottled water provided either.

A little inconsistent with taste but generally ok.
The arrogant little "princess" that I had the honor of being served by couldn't have been anymore rude if she had tried ?? She was trying to impress (that failed spectacularly), me with her feeble, broken heavily accented English, instead of doing her job.
They do a brisk service, based on the sheer volume of tourists passing through, but I'm betting due to their attitude, they don't attract repeat business from local customers who have visited and experienced their style of "service".
My cup of brewed coffee was as weak as pi$$ and tepid. Brewed coffee is seriously difficult to botch up.
They've alienated me, and they can include the 10 friends that I've personally told my experience here to. Word of mouth hurts!
