Feb.27 we left ISRAEL due to war. I called this hotel but no one pick up the phone. I emailed them no one respond. They still charging me even i didn't stay March 9-12. If you can stop the war go ahead and charge me. Until now 3-29-26 still i don't get any ans. RUDE!

Very bare bones. No chairs, no towels, no towel FIXTURES, no kettle (though it WAS delivered upon request). Hotel is clean, though permeated by the smell of cigarettes. Furniture is of surprisingly good quality, better than average. The parking situation is abysmal. Breakfast ends at 9 am sharp, and the staff did not see fit to warn us beforehand. So that’s unfortunate. Wouldn’t be as bad if there were many restaurants in the area, but there aren’t. We got a coffee and pastry from a nearby shop, then settled for instant noodles from the conquered kettle.

They kindly changed us to a room with a better view (Temple Mount). They also called a taxi for us to join an early morning tour, at a very reasonable price. We declined breakfast because we were joining an early morning tour, but they gave us a boxed breakfast to take home. You can't find a more accommodating hotel!! You can see the Temple Mount from the window. The atmosphere of the Church of the Ascension next door was great. The breakfast was delicious, with mint tea, hummus, vegetables, pita bread, cheese, yogurt, etc. Thank you very much.

Good, updated room with an excellent bed and excellent bathroom. Food was very good, although there was no variety day to day. Keep in mind, that if you are shopping in gift shops, most places list prices in US dollars or sometimes Euros. Thus, if you exchange money at the airport into the New Israeli Shekels. and pay with shekels, you will lose money on the conversion rate.

We stayed here as part of a tour group, so we had many meals here. The food was good, but day to day there was not much variety. Our room was excellent - air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was remodeled, lots of storage space, mattress on the bed was nice and firm (not like the soft, unsupportive mattresses in the US hotels). At night, the neighborhood appears to be rough. It was recommended that women in our group do not venture out of the hotel without a male escort (even during the day). Also, be aware that all tourist shops prefer to receive dollars or euros, not the new Israeli shekels (NIS) - in fact, in many tourist shops the prices are in dollars or euros. If you pay in NIS, then the exchange rate from dollars to shekels will not be favorable to you. At the airport, the exchange rate was 3.6 NIS for 1 USD, but in tourist shops for an item costing 1 USD, they will want 4 shekels. Only exchange USD for shekels if you plan to go to regular Arab or Israeli stores.

The noise from the street is relatively loud, but for those who sleep better, the price/performance ratio is good: only by the Church of the Ascension, one minute away is the Church of the Lord's Prayer; it is only four or five minutes away from the important viewing platform of the Mount of Olives.
