Guests will find two on-site restaurants, free parking, and Wi-Fi, along with services like 24-hour reception, currency exchange, and laundry. The hotel features a terrace and garden, though reviews note the outdoor area needs better upkeep. Rooms are spacious with tea and coffee facilities; however, some guests report air conditioning issues and dated interiors. The hotel’s buffet breakfast runs daily from 06:30 to 09:30, and pets are not permitted. Overall, the hotel scores 8.2/10, praised for its location and views but noted for needing refurbishment.

Location

Located on Rab'a el Adawiah Street atop the Mount of Olives, Hotel 7 Arches is about 42 km from Ben Gurion International Airport. It’s positioned to provide excellent views of Jerusalem’s Old City, including the Dome of the Rock and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The hotel is a considerable walk uphill from many tourist sites, but public transport options, including buses nearby, provide convenient access to the Damascus Gate and city center. The elevated position means guests experience stunning sunrises and sunsets over the cityscape and surrounding hills.

Tips

  • Book a room with a city view to fully enjoy the hotel’s main attraction—the panoramic vistas of Jerusalem.
  • Use public transport or taxis to avoid the challenging uphill walk from the hotel to the Old City.

This hotel has the most amazing view overlooking Jerusalem, but the whole hotel is tired and could do with a refurb. There’s lots of land around the hotel and it would look beautiful if they made a proper garden. Put some flowers in, but currently it’s just an unmaintained concrete jungle with lots of rubbish and weeds. The room itself was fine, bed was reasonably comfortable and it was very spacious with tea and coffee available. Didn’t have a great nights sleep due to the aircon not working properly, however it wasn’t terrible. Free parking available on site and there is breakfast too. Check in was easy and the man on reception was friendly. Recommend staying here if you are just after a cheap 1 night stay, it’s in a great location for exploring the olive gardens and seeing the graves. Hopefully some money is pumped into this hotel soon, as it has so much potential with the location and view.

Our stay at this hotel in Israel was absolutely wonderful. Everything about our experience was positive. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The location is truly fantastic — right on the Mount of Olives — offering an exceptional setting and easy access to important sites. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

In my opinion, you should only book this hotel with a city view. That's the whole point. Waking up early in the morning, I'd sit by the window and watch the sunrise over the city. The views are gorgeous. But there aren't many rooms like them. Without a view, all the magic of this hotel disappears. Firstly, it's a bit difficult and remote to access. The buses were a lifesaver. We walked, climbing up that mountain, but it was always tiring. The breakfasts were average. Overall, the hotel itself is a bit tired. And they could do something about the grounds. At least clean up the trash.

The best view of the old city in Jerusalem. Stunning sunset over the city. Not an easy walk up and down the Mt of Olives to the old city but otherwise an excellent location.
Very good service from staff.

An amazing view of the old city of Jerusalem from the Mt of Olives. Off street parking. Hotel is on top of the hill across the road from the lookout. Fast and friendly check-in. Lift for people and bags. Breakfast and room service available.

Great location, good service, and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

The TV wasn’t working and the staff didn’t care to fix it. The carpets are old and stained, and breakfast is minimal. There’s a garden, but the seats are uncomfortable (no backrests). The view is stunning, though I remember the garden being greener in the past, which added more to it. The bed is firm.

A very good hotel with a beautiful view of the Dome of the Rock and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The breakfast is good and includes the basics of juice, cheese, labneh, bread, some cakes, and eggs. The cleanliness in the rooms and breakfast hall is not the best, unfortunately, but the service is good, and the hotel's outdoor courtyard is a good place to spend a night. The staff speaks Arabic and English.

Location was great but staff was extremely rude. The room size was good but the bed were very uncomfortable and blankets were too small for single person. We stayed here for 3 days and I barely slept due to uncomfortable bed and loud noise in the hallway/rooms. Location of the hotel is great and you can take the bus outside of the hotel to the Damascus gate which was quite convenient.
