Addar Hotel in Jerusalem

The worst management attitude female customers can have. Zero communication - but they have charged us for services they did not provide, and they did so twice. I will never again engage with this establishment, ever.

I stayed one night in this hotel and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The building looks impressive in the photos, but the reality is very different.

1. Poor maintenance and uncomfortable stay

The hotel is poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect. Service was minimal and the staff did not handle issues properly.

2. Serious issue: cigarette smoke inside the rooms

According to Israeli law, smoking inside hotel rooms is strictly forbidden.
However, my room was constantly filled with strong cigarette smoke coming from other guests. The smell was intense throughout the day and night.

I reported this and asked to move rooms, but I was told that the hotel had no availability — which did not seem accurate. Staff admitted that guests were smoking inside, but the problem continued without any real solution.

3. Lack of effective management

The night staff acknowledged the smoking problem but did nothing meaningful to resolve it. I eventually tried speaking to the neighboring room myself, which no guest should have to do.

Conclusion

This hotel does not meet the basic standards expected in Israel, especially regarding smoking laws, safety, and service. I do not recommend staying here until management takes the issues seriously.

Very interesting place, you need to be ready for unforeseen circumstances, my first room was completely destroyed and almost unusable. but after intense talk and talk, finally the second day we got what we really booked, Praise

I booked Hotel Addar because the rates were reasonable and the reviews were not bad on Booking.com. On arrival in Jerusalem, I was told that the the hotel was not in the best part of town and especially as during Ramadan it was difficult to move around in the vicinity of the hotel and I was concerned for the safety of my wife who could’ve been in danger. I requested a refund, but this was not granted. I couldn’t reach the hotel by phone or message. One star. I’m sure a better review would’ve been possible if the Hotel have responded to my messages on Booking.com.

The service is disgusting. We lost over $500 dollars here i would not recommend them
