I only saw the exterior of the building, which is very interesting because it's visibly original. I also understood where the term "lodge" comes from for Masonic lodges, an institution derived from medieval master architects, as all the symbolism demonstrates.

…I'll start by saying that I've seen this building in Assisi!!…only from the outside!!…currently it can't be visited inside!!…it's the Loggia dei Maestri Comacini!!…it's located on the main street of the city!!…in Via San Francesco!!…in the historic center!!…and it's easily recognizable because it has a typical medieval façade!!…and then you can see the marble slab with their name!!…as in my photo!!…the peculiarity of this building is given by some symbols that are on the architectural elements!!…objects that relate to the work of the famous master masons!!…the compass is carved…the mallet is the set square!!…in fact the Maestri Comacini were construction professionals!!…and they were also involved in the design and construction of the majestic Basilica of San Francesco!!…but not only that!!…they also had other construction sites around the city!!…still a beautiful building!!…even if you can only see it from the outside!!…it's the Loggia dei Maestri Comacini in Assisi!!…

A little gem, very clean, very well equipped (nothing is missing, impressive) practically at the gates of the Basilica, to this is added the kindness of the owner, the availability, the courtesy and the tact.

Small but has everything. Mr. Ferdinando was very kind and provided us with water and prosecco, which were very welcome.
