I stayed at Arco Antico for a week at the end of November. It was my first time at a B&B and I really didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. With the exception of the dark and not very pleasant entrance to the building (for which the owner of the B&B is clearly not responsible), as well as the tiny elevator, everything went very smoothly and pleasantly. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, as was the fact that the dining room is open 24/7, so you can grab a quick bite at any time (toast, yogurt, fruit, cheese, ham, coffee, tea, etc.). The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The train station and tram stop are very close, and the city center is within walking distance. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely recommend it.

A welcoming, clean B&B just steps from the center of Florence. The manager is helpful and friendly. The breakfast was adequate and delicious. Recommended.

A little noisy inside the house because the door locks are sometimes hard to get. The stairs to reach the floor are quite steep and there are no lights; breakfast was average. Other than this the place is super well located and the owner is a very nice person.

Very convenient location. Close to train station and city centre. We walked Florence. Did not need public transport.
Accomodation clean and comfortable. We were given nice Italian breakfast every morning. Enjoyed our stay here.
Only down side lift is too small. Only fits 1 person at a time. Accommodation on 2nd floor. If you have issues with stairs may not be for you.

Wonderful spot! I’m the middle of everything. Nice to have breakfast area available 24/7 for grabbing a coffee or tea. Great host. Very lovely room

I felt very welcome here. The place is everything I needed for a solo trip. Very well managed. Matteo is very nice and staff is also attentive. The breakfast area is well kept. Coffee machine is excellent. Very walkable. I’d stay here again.

Bed and mattress a bit uncomfortable, for the rest it is also nice the service of being able to use the 24 hour refreshment service and easily reachable on foot and it is also convenient to reach the city center. For the rest I find the tourist tax at €6.00 per day per person exaggerated

We arrived at midnight and had a hard time finding the hotel, but it is conveniently located. The building is very old (there is a small elevator up to the third floor, but it is pitch black unless you turn on the wall light switch), but the rooms are clean and well-maintained. All communication with the owner was done through social media and we never met during our stay, but he was quick to respond and kind. However, please note that a lodging tax is charged separately at check-out depending on the number of nights you stay. This is not included in the accommodation fee paid in advance. If you are worried about where to eat, I recommend the kebab shop next door, which is cheap and tasty.

The positive note of this structure is certainly the kindness of the owner who provided a notable discount on the final price of the room as due to an error on his part he had not given us the room that he had reserved for us during the booking phase.
