Ruster Resort in Lagundo

I spent a week of vacation at the Ruster with my husband and our 5 month old son. The pool area is very beautiful and well-kept complete with a jacuzzi and relaxation areas. Too bad there were some kids completely out of control screaming and diving (although it was forbidden) splashing and defacing the whole area. Fortunately, we only had the pleasure of their company for two long days. The pools (two in all) are not heated, although advertised as such. The superior room where we stayed was very small and the cleanliness level was medium to low (huge cobwebs on the blinds, dust, etc). The really bad thing was that you were dying of heat because there was no air conditioning or anything else. With the window open you could barely breathe, on the other hand you could hear the noise of the street below where every type of motor vehicle whizzed by. The balcony however had a magnificent view over the valley and Merano. The waterfall shower is also excellent. With a baby it was too small and uncomfortable but they didn't change rooms despite requests. In addition, the cradle for a fee was not a cot but one of those children's enclosures, therefore unusable. The resort's restaurant is large and very nice but the food is mediocre and the staff, although very kind and helpful, is certainly not very well trained. Not what you expect from a 3-star hotel and the prices are very high (a dessert costs 9 euros!). The breakfast was quite good and varied with a nice view from that area. Our room was not made up until 3pm (unacceptable), the towels smelled of smoke and once they forgot a rag. In short, the potential of this resort is many but there are some flaws that are too serious to go unnoticed. I would not recommend this for families for sure.

No kindness provided towards Guests. The place is astonishing beautiful, but the property deserves 0 as per the treatment reserved to whoever has a trouble before or during their stay.
Avoid it!

Hello Mr. Reinthaler, we went to your beer garden for lunch, which is one of the top addresses. Unfortunately we were already full after 2 dumplings, so we wanted to take 2 dumplings with us. When asked to have the two dumplings wrapped up, the waiter countered, I'll bring something over right away ... A real surprise ... wrapping paper! after a great surprise ... the sentence went to you ... I passed the dumplings on to our Boris Becker for training ... the dumplings were too hard for him ... us too ... won't eat any more there either ... 👎
