Hotel Anapaya in Lignano Sabbiadoro

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag.

On the positive side, the atmosphere was cozy, the furniture stylish, the pool lovely, and the bathrooms modern. The staff was always friendly, and the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives:

The rooms were extremely noisy – you could hear every sound from the next room, from the toilet flushing to the alarm clock. The rooms were also very small, with hardly any space between the bed and the table.

We originally wanted two separate single rooms, but there was only one single room and one more expensive double room available (€279 and €347 for 3 nights). When we checked in, we discovered that the rooms were absolutely identical – same layout, same size. It was very disappointing that a double room was sold to us when it was no larger than the single room. To be fair, I split the cost with my friend and covered his extra payment.

The refrigerator didn't work initially, but it was quickly repaired after we reported it. The safe, however, didn't work at all during my entire stay, despite three attempts with the staff – so I had to take my money and documents to the beach, which was very inconvenient.

Furthermore, it wasn't clear that only one coffee was included at breakfast – any additional coffees were charged separately. You couldn't get coffee yourself; you had to ask the staff, which led to waiting times.

There was also construction work going on behind the hotel, which was very noisy in the mornings.

In conclusion:

A lovely hotel with potential, but the poor soundproofing, the misleading room category, and the unclear breakfast policy unfortunately marred my stay.
