Can’t even put into words how amazing this resort is—it feels like stepping into a Pinterest-worthy boutique hotel. We were warmly welcomed with drinks and a detailed introduction to everything the property offers: vineyard tours, a private beach, a private terrace with breathtaking ocean views, massages, and more.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the staff incredibly friendly, and both breakfast and dinner absolutely delicious. All in all, this has been by far the best resort experience we’ve had in Sardinia.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were very unimpressed due to the price we paid. The level of service, food, amenities, and overall accommodations does not meet the criteria of a 4-star hotel and its nightly rate. The waiter who does mornings was especially notable for our lower rating — he was cold and unaccommodating, making us feel as though we were a nuisance. Be wary that all the plated “American” breakfast they advertise on Instagram is an extra fee and not included, as well. The pool area is quite dilapidated, and the beach “club” was average. There is no sort of attendant or notable food choices either. Even the well-remarked dinner was mediocre. We chose to eat elsewhere every other night of our stay. It is pretty much the only “upscale” hotel in the area, which is why I believe the rate is able to be set so high. Overall, it is clean, safe, and set on beautiful grounds but simply did not meet 4star/$650+ (USD) a night service/amenity expectations.

Location was nice and close to the local town. Having a resort like side with the nice dinning/breakfast area and pool which felt separated from the world. And then crossing under the road in their tunnel. You were treated to a calming relaxing area and the beautiful beach. Best of both worlds. Having a breach bar was nice too. The only downside was no coffee/tea in the mornings and having to ask to restock the fridge. Overall great place.

Very good, but not great!
The good:
- Restaurant staff was very nice and they provide a lot of small attentions
- Room was spacious, clean, well isolated
- Breakfast was good
- There was always enough seating available at the pool, relaxing area or beach
- Overall, the hotel is high quality

Things that can be improved:
- When I asked for recommendations, the front desk staff was always trying to sell me something. I asked for restaurants, all they could talk about was the one in the hotel. I asked for activities, and they started to try selling me a boat rental they provide. It's annoying to feel like all they want is to upsell you stuff when you're already paying a hefty price to stay there. In the end, I just stopped asking and relied on GMaps.
- There was some light coming inside the room at night, not ideal for sleeping.
- Swimming pool had some (very limited) green algae traces. It was still good quality but this doesn't seem like 4-star to me.
- The TV in the room can't be connected to anything which is too bad because it is a smart TV.
- Maybe add some decoration in the private tunnel which gives access to the beach ? It's a bit... strange.

We stayed at Lanthia Resort for four nights and truly wished we could have stayed longer. In fact, we were really sad when it was time to leave.

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful – the architecture, the lush gardens, the inviting pool, and the wonderful pine forest with hammocks and lounges made it a dreamlike place to relax. The private beach is equally stunning, with loungers, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment available. You can swim for long distances in the crystal-clear water – there’s always something to do. The staff is super friendly and chill and we were very happy with the kind service!!!! Massage in the pinewood cabana was also incredible.

Breakfast was fantastic, with a very fresh and delicious buffet, fresh juices, delicious pastries plus many à la carte options to order. The only small downside was that some special dishes came with an extra charge (something we found a little unnecessary considering the hotel category and price) but it was by no means a big issue.

Our room was lovely, with a small private garden, which we really enjoyed. Just a note for future guests: be mindful when booking the smallest room category, as those are indeed very small (we just booked the cheapest option without reading into it and discovered upon arrival that the room was too small for us). We upgraded and were much happier afterwards.

Another highlight is the unique location: Santa Maria Navarrese is the sweetest village with charming restaurants, great gelato, and direct access to nature. 1.5 km away from the hotel starts the breathtaking Pedralonga trail – perfect for a morning trail run or walk with stunning views. At the harbor, you can easily rent boats to explore the wild Costa de Baunei. For us, taking a boat out for two days to discover hidden beaches was the absolute highlight of our entire trip, simply unforgettable.

All in all, we were extremely happy and satisfied with our stay. This resort is truly special, and we are certain we will return one day and will recommend it to all of our friends!!! Many thanks to the entire Lanthia team for making our stay so memorable!

Magical hotel
One of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed in. The forest is so magical above the ocean. The beach is beyond gorgeous. I did yoga there every morning w my husband. Breakfast is a dream. Can't recommend it highly enough. The town is so sweet and local--Mastro Gelataria is a great for an after dinner treat. Marina is walkable--can rent your own boat or charter w a captain.

Beautiful resort on the amazing Baunei coast. My family and I stayed here last weekend and it was amazing. The service was impeccable. The grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to experience this coast in Sardinia.
