Hotel Biancaneve in Sauze D'oulx

Very friendly welcoming and fully booked which must say something for the two ladies who run the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel run by two sisters. They always have a smile. Home cooked food. Always plenty to eat. Clean. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. The location is great once you know the secret. (Get the bus to the Sportinia ski lift). This hotel is in the centre of town and yet no problems at all with noise. Highly recommended.

Hotel was amazing! The two sisters that run the hotel are lovely 😊 They cook very tasty dinners every night so definitely recommend getting dinner included! My favourite was the lasagna😋 mattresses are comfortable 🛌 not a long walk up to ski lift but also a bus that runs every 30mins to one of the ski lifts for €2🚠

Great place to stay whilst skiing (a Crystal ski holiday). Excellent cleanliness, v tasty evening meal, and pretty good accommodation all round. Great location as only a 2 minute walk into town, 1 minute to supermarket. Ski bus stops 30 secs away! I recommend. Only downsides were breakfast; it's a bit limited; egg, ham, cheese, cereal, yoghurt. No cooked breakfast choices. And rooms could be a little bit bigger, with more hooks or rails to dry towels after showering, and to air ski gear.

Excellent food, friendly and homely, and in a great location (to be first in the ski bus before the big squeeze later on outside Relais Des Alpes). The evening meal is really lovely home-made Italian fare; delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast is disappointing because of the crazy COVID measures, which mean you have to ask the poor waitress every time you want a coffee top-up, a slice of bread or some ham and cheese: when it's busy, the poor lady is rushed around like crazy. It would be so much easier to go up and help yourself as we adults used to be able to do in Italy. Breakfast is also not as interesting and varied as it could be.
The room was exceptionally clean and well appointed, with good clothes storage, hooks very handy for ski gear, a couple of chairs for airing gear too, and good bathroom cabinet space. The downside in our bathroom was a tiny bath with shower head but no screening, which called for acrobatics that only a shorty like me can do with any success, and great concentration to avoid dousing the bathroom floor with a centimeter of standing water.
Unfortunately, the house mask policy was not as relaxed as it is in several bars and restaurants now in Sauze, so you have to muzzle-up in all public areas in the ridiculous FFP2 mask that the Italian government have imposed with literally no evidence at all that it does anything more than say "OK, I'm complying, alright?"
The ski room is good with just about enough boots and skis storage space, though no boot drying rack unfortunately.

Absolute incredible customer service by the Lady owner. I was struggling with some worrying chest pain on a Saturday and she went above and beyond calling around doctors in the area to reserve me a booking in Oulx.

After waiting in a telephone queue for almost 30 minutes she also arranged for a taxi to collect me and gave instruction about the return journey providing bus schedules.

Great holiday in Sauze and you will not be disappointed by this hotel, staff or owners. The best customer service I have received from a hotel owner, extremely helpful and would definitely recommend!

The most excellent stay - spent 7 nights here as part of a package Ski Deal booked with Crystal ski. The hotel is a 90 second walk to the main town.
It is approximately a 5 min walk from the local ski lift - or a 5 min bus ride to the Sportinia ski lift.
The two sisters who run the hotel are honestly the most hospitable people - incredibly pleasant, flexible, and above all lovely.
A three course meal is cooked, and served in the main dining area, with a choice of starter and mains - alongside plentiful portions. Breakfast is continental - with some warm bread and fruit/yogurt/cheese and ham.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, modestly sized, and come with (in our case) with a newly refurbished bathroom.
Rooms are cleaned daily, and linen/towels replaced as required.
There is a moderately sized bar with plenty of boardgames (mostly in Italian).
We will 100% be back. I already miss our evening meals.

I could not fault this hotel. My 2 previous attempts to visit where cancelled due to Covid however I would always get a rapid response to my emails and they where very flexible about our changing circumstances. The food was fantastic and the whole hotel possibly the cleanest I have ever stayed in. It is located in the heart of the town which is great for those with enough energy to enjoy the active nightlife.
Sauze d'Oulx is a great resort closely linked to Sestriere and less closely to Claviere and Montgenevre which are included with the ski pass. I would recommend hiring a car (we flew to Turin) which makes it easier to do Claviere and Montgenevre and also allows you to do a day in Bardonecchia.

Nice place to stay in! Helena and Claudia are the most devoted ladies in the world... Family atmosphere and rest are best words to describe the great pleasure we had to stay there. Only one thing: don't tell your dietician that you come or he'll make you not. Food is awesome.
