We had a great snowboarding trip staying at this hotel. The hotels location is absolutely fantastic (about 3 minutes walk from the ski lift). It’s also right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. The staff were all really friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. They even gifted us a complimentary late check out. The rooms were basic, but comfortable and clean, which was fine for us as we were barely in our room.

The location of this property was ideal as we were there to watch our son compete at the Special Olympics Worlds! We were within walking distance to the ski hill, restaurants and many shops. Didn't even have to use our rental as it was safely parked in the underground parking through the hotel. The only thing better than the location was the staff!!! My bad if i spell names wrong but Luka from the afternoon shift was amazing. He set us up with reservations for dinners at places that were so amazing, that i can't thank him enough. If you get the opportunity to go to Sestriere and get to have the privilege to stay at this hotel, do it!

This hotel lives off only two things (1) Location (2) The Staff. It’s a weak 3 star hotel that is tatty and tired. Rooms, carpets, decor are all threadbare and careworn and it has the feel of half empty / soulless place, no bar etc. I imagine it was once, rather nice but those days are long gone. The staff were helpful beyond reason and breakfast buffet was quite good. If you are on a skimpy budget, maybe but beware it’s not value for money even at these prices.

I had a lovely experience staying at Hotel Cristallo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sestriere. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Luca at reception went above and beyond, helping me order food from a local restaurant for delivery, fixing an issue with the old plugs in the room (which required a special adaptor), and even providing a kettle with tea and cups to make my stay more comfortable. Oksana, who served breakfast, was always cheerful and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The breakfast itself was a treat, with a great selection of pastries, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, and delicious coffee on request. The hotel's location is ideal—just a short walk with some steps down to the nearest ski lift, making it very convenient for skiers. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were exceptionally clean, and housekeeping did a great job with fresh towels daily and changing the sheets after the third day. The only downside was the ski storage room, which lacked lockers, so we had to bring our skis and boots back to the room, but it wasn’t a huge inconvenience. Overall, if I ever return to Sestriere, I would definitely choose to stay at Hotel Cristallo again. A great place with outstanding staff and a perfect location!

Not a great hotel. Its not 4 star. We dont have a high standing shower. They say they cant fix it. Fridge is not working. No good pillows. Breakfast very basic. Our friends room has no working towel rail. Their view is a brick wall, dark rooms. Not accommodating and they cannot change the rooms.

Fantastic location for a ski trip
stayed for 5 nights with my adult son for a 5 day ski trip. it iwas an ideal hotel for a boys trip. we rented a junior suite with two double beds with a glorius view of the mountain and the cig-roc lift. the main entry and ticket office to the sestriere ski resort is directly across the street from the hotel. the ski check is below the ski ticket office so that was an added plus! we drove to the hotel rather than take a complex blend of trains and buses and with car rental prices so cheap in milan airport it came out to about the same price for two of us. the breakfast is ok. nothing cooked but enough to get by. the staff were kind and wonderful people. the only reason i gave 4 star is because the hotel feels dated but that was also charming. if skiing is your main object and you want to be as close to ski in/.ski out in a comfortable setting that doesnt break th bank, this is your best bet.

Just spent the Christmas holidays skiing in Sestriere and stayed at this lovely hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them. Guiliana, Sabrina, and Manuela on the front desk.....Pino, Claude, Domenico, Matteo in the dining rooms.....Rocco with the free tea and biscuits in the afternoon....The rooms were comfortable and the cleaning service was brisk although we had to remind them to leave us more soap, shampoo etc. Right across from the lift ticket office and the ski rental shops and steps from the lifts and the ski school. The location is amazing but try to get the mountain view rooms.....if you get the side rooms as we did, you are just staring at brick walls which is okay after a hard days skiing :). Just one problem...the WiFi does not work well in the rooms, very weak signals but works fine in the lobby and cafe. Would definitely stay there next time.....the other folks there were also very nice and the hotel is really family friendly.....and a lot of the restaurants and ski schools there gave us discounts because we were staying at this hotel.

Great location. Very very close to the slopes and the town centre. The rooms are a bit outdated but the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff make up for everything the room might lack. The hotel staff will go the extra length to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Praise go to the restaurant maitre, the waiters, the receptionists and the barmen for making our stay great!!
