Hotel Miravalle in Sauze D'oulx

Excellent hotel, have stayed here two years running. Staff are polite and very helpful. The food and all-inclusive bar (!) should satisfy just about everyone, they also cater for my friend who must have a gluten free diet. The rooms are decent for twos and threes, and there's even a sauna and a jacuzzi which is ideal after smashing the slopes all day.

The location of the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Clotes chair lift (although there's a local bus stop next to the hotel if you prefer to take this to the lifts).

As a side note, the town of Sauze D'Oulx is gorgeous, there's a great selection of runs and is suitable for snowboarding as well as skiing.

Great hotel and really friendly staff. Rooms clean and functional and the inclusive bar was great. Easy access to rest of resort and slopes.

A nice hotel at the end of the medieval town of Sauze. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room size was ok for the 2 of us, but the storage is very limited, a couple of shelves and a small hanging space so make sure you bring extra coat hangers to put your clothes on, as there isn’t enough space on the shelves. We didn’t have a balcony, but that was fine. Drinks are reasonably priced. We were given tickets for a meal on the mountain every day, which saved us quite a lot of money over the week. We were disappointed with the quality of the food at the hotel, breakfast was limited to cake, tinned pears, muesli, yogurt, processed meat, processed cheese, sliced bread, scrambled egg, bacon and beans, the beans and scrambled egg were very often cold. One morning all the bacon was extremely over cooked and black, I was shocked that a chef would serve such burnt food to the guests. The afternoon tea was cake that was left over from breakfast. The evening meal had a buffet of salads and soup and then a choice of pasta, a main meal and dessert ( which we chose in the morning). This was ok but the quality went down as the week went on. We didn’t pay a lot for this holiday so I do think it was value for money, but next year the price has doubled for the same week, I do hope the quality of the food improves.

We have just arrived back from this beautiful hotel. It is located at the bottom of a hill from Sauze d’Olux town. The walk into town is about 5/10 mins. It’s a lovely little authentic Italian town with beautiful restaurants and bars. The ski hire shop is also not too far into town. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Especially Giovanni, Marco, Francesca and the other waitress in the restaurant. The girls on reception were also very nice 😊 The rooms were very modern with breathtaking views! 🏔️ The food was delicious and there is plenty to eat. Breakfast, ticket for lunch up Sportina lift, afternoon tea after skiing. For the evening meal you have a large buffet, then pasta dish, meal course and a dessert. Drinks are reasonably priced. There is a boot room downstairs for skis. I preferred to rent a locker at the top of Sportina lift but my husband and son preferred to leave skis at hotel. There is a free shuttle bus from hotel which only takes five mins to the slopes. Overall, we had the most amazing time and are looking to book this hotel next year! ⛷️

H In my opinion, the hotel is located in the nicer part of Sauze’s old town. There are several small eateries nearby, plus a wine bar that became our favourite, its name sounded like a school, which still makes us smile. With the hotel minibus, the location is spot on. At the time we stayed, the hotel was mostly British guests and had a really friendly atmosphere. The staff were amazing: always helpful, polite, and welcoming. A special mention to the bar girl with the fluffy curly hair — she always had a warm, friendly smile. The rooms were modern, clean, and well furnished. A few extra hangers would have been handy, but overall no complaints. As is typical in Europe, there was no kettle. For skiing tips: rent a locker at the top of Sportinia it’s well worth it. Try speaking Italian if you can, even if you sound like the Godfather. The locals appreciate it as its clearly been inherited back by the Italians from the Benidorm crowdof the 80s. The beers, spritzs and coffee are excellent quality and very reasonably priced. All in all, a great stay.

A superb hotel, perfect for our family Ski holiday. Super helpful, friendly staff, and great food. Immaculately clean refurbished rooms (ours was a bit small and no balcony), but had amazing views over the valley. Good frequent minibus shuttle up to the lifts. What would make this hotel even better would be a jacuzzi and sauna to ease the muscles at the end of the day, Thankful to the staff team who made our stay really lovely.

We stopped here in early January and the hotel was excellent. The shuttle bus to and from Sportinia was great with a great driver who was very helpful. The room was to a good standard with a balcony and view of the adjacent mountains. The food was very good with a buffet to start with a mix of hot and cold options which was followed up by a pasta course, main course and dessert. As previously mentioned, lunch is included and has a choice of two restaurants on the slopes. Bar prices were reasonable and the staff and service throughout were very good. The hotel is a maximum 5 minute walk into the main town of Sauze where the ski hire shop is located with a good selection of bars and restaurants within the town. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

The hotel is in a quiet location at the end of the town. Great views from the rooms and restaurant of the mountains. Good value for money. Check in was smooth, photos taken of passports only one key provided per room. Hotel has been updated in a modern alpine style with comfy beds and pillows. Our triple room had 3 single beds, large open wardrobe area, small desk and chair, Smart TV and balcony. Rooms are very hot so we turned radiators off at night and slept with the windows open. The rooms are not very well soundproofed so noise from other rooms can be heard but probably only similar to other hotels. We had 5 days of heavy snowfall so we did hear the snow plough driving past at 5 AM clearing the village roads. If it is not snowing and the roads don’t need clearing you will have no problem. Also the shower wouldn’t drain properly it was reported to reception but not fixed. Towels were changed once during the week. Daily housekeeping to make the beds. Breakfast was buffet style with a choice of 3 cereals, pastries, cake, tinned fruit scrambled egg, toast, beans, yoghurt, juice, hot drinks. Lunch you are given a voucher to use in one of two mountain restaurants in Sauze. Pasta/soup with water and dessert at Capana Kind at top of Sportina lift or a slice of pizza/panini, water and dessert - croissant most days or apple strudels the Rifugio Cake was available at 4.30 pm to 5 pm but not plentiful so if you were late it was all gone. On a couple of occasions sandwiches were provided. Evening meal was great, buffet starter with soup bread and a choice of about 15 dishes including salad, vegetables, meat dishes, bruschettas, pizza. Some different dishes each evening, this was an entire meal in itself. The first course was usually a choice between 2 pasta dishes with the second course as a choice of 3 from either meat/fish and vegetarian. No choice of dessert. You are given a menu choice each evening to choose your meal options for the next day. All drinks have to be bought including water at 2.50 euros a bottle we took our own water into the restaurant. Breakfast served 7.30 to 9am dinner 7.30 to 9 pm. There is also a bar area serving drinks, and also had tables which could be used for playing board/card games or they had a few games at the bar that you could use Access to the slopes was good, the hotel Mini bus to the Sportina lift took 5 mins and operated between 8.30 am to 10 am The Sportina didn’t open until 9 am. Then it operates between 1.30 to 5 pm to take you back to the hotel. Ski lockers were in the basement but no heated boot rack. The whole hotel has recently been renovated in a modern style but this didn’t include the ski lockers which were fairly basic. Hotel had a homely feel staff were approachable and helpful. When one of our party was injured and went to the trauma centre in Sauze by ambulance after being stretchered off the mountain a quick phone call to the hotel and they came in the minibus and took us back to the hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the Miravalle. On the whole it was a fantastic experience, and we were pleased with the Full Board experience and options. Capanna Kind was excellent for lunch. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to the kitchen and restaurant team for being so accommodating and helpful with our dietary requirements (vegan). A special mention to Marco, Belen, Nino and Andreo in this team. The room was great on the whole. We had to shower at certain times due to the water going cold but that was our only constructive feedback. The hotel is an excellent location in Sauze, very close to the town centre and easy to access the two chair lifts. The mini van which is a free shuttle service to and from the hotel to the Sportina chair lift was excellent and ran regularly throughout the day. Would highly recommend and would return!

Staff at this hotel are amazing, particularly Marco our waiter that always went the extra mile to accommodate the Gluten Free members of our group. Food was also really good, Great location too Rooms are clean with modern bathrooms Definitely recommend to stay here and we will hopefully be back.
