Palazzo Giovanni Bed and Breakfast in Acireale

We had a very enjoyable stay at Palazzo Giovanni. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. A delicious and copious breakfast is served on the top floor terrace with a magnificent view on Etna. Silvio is a great host and gave us lots of helpful advice for visits and restaurants. A great location for visiting Etna and the Sicilian east and south coasts. Only a short walk from Stazzo town centre with a very good restaurant 'La Conchiglia".

The very definition of warm and generous Sicilian hospitality. In a perfect location giving you the option to explore Etna within 15 min drive, or take a 5 minute stroll to the beach, Palazzo Giovanni is a thoughtfully restored homage to Sicily.
The owner, Silvio, took the time to tell us with great pride about the history of the house, his family and their gorgeous lemon grove, and gave us plenty of recommendations for where to eat, snack and take a dip.
The rooms were very cute, comfortable, spacious and clean.
Breakfast atop the terrace eating homemade marmalades and fresh eggs with a view of Etna was unforgettable.
In the sweet port town of Stazzo you will enjoy a very local, unspoiled Sicilian way of life, listen to the church bells chime, and swim with locals enjoying the black Etna sands and crystal clear water.
Say hi to the tiny turtles and Rambo the cat, found lazing in the courtyard.
Forget Taormina, this is better.

Incredible B&B in an untouched part of Sicily! True hospitality from the owner Silvio and his wife which included local recommendations, booking reservations for dinner and a lovely rooftop breakfast overlooking Etna. The palazzo itself is a beautiful ornate building with spacious rooms and nice amenities. A family of century old turtles in the central courtyard is also a nice touch, especially if you’re travelling with small children (or turtle enthusiasts). Can’t recommend enough. Make sure you go down to the square and get yourself a seltz limone on a hot day - one of Silvio’s great recommendations!

Fantastic place “Palazzo Giovanni” in Stazzo a little village near the sea at the Etna foothills in Sicily.Very helpful and friendly host Sig.Silvio always there for any advice for restaurants, surroundings and excursions. Beautiful large breakfast terrace with stunning view of Mount Etna on one side and the sea on the other. Very elegant and clean Palazzo with spacious en-suite rooms immersed in the tranquility of lemons and orange gardens. Definitely I’m going back for my stay in Sicily, Catania area . With the vista of Mount Etna in the background, Palazzo Giovanni is situated in a quiet street with its own large lemon grove and is a great place to stay. Within walking distance of the boat harbour of Stazzo and a short drive from the beautiful town of Acireale, our host Silvio made our weekend there a memorable one.

It's our fourth visit and we are eager to return again! We are so pleased that the owners of Palazzo Giovanni. Silvio and Alessandra, have managed to keep their busy B&B meticulously maintained in excellent condition with the same love that they had in 2009, the first time that we were their guests. The Sicilian charm and character has also improved as the car park / citrus tree garden has been embellished further since our last visit. I also need to mention that the general cleanliness of this B&B and the guest rooms was always above average.

The owners are always so helpful in trying to keep their guests comfortable and give assistance to make their days in the region more interesting. They offer great contacts for Etna tours and other activities. Silvio has also added a personalised boat tour to his portfolio (that we had the pleasure to take) and it is highly recommended as the views of the coastal area are magnificent and with the help of the boat you can reach splendid bathing locations not accessible from land.

As Silvio loves to say each morning "Super Sicilia" and it is definitely at its best if you maximise your visit by staying at this B&B!
