To be honest the facilities are great - lovely pool and great terrace to sit and eat your breakfast. The breakfast food was extensive - so well done! The room was average - but clean, so no complaints. The check in staff and breakfast staff were lovely - really welcoming and kind. It's funny though how one tiny bad experience can leave a sour taste in your mouth. I needed to use the iron as we were going to a wedding. I ended up using the iron twice. I was bemused when told I needed to 'book' the iron - I have used irons in hotels/air bnb etc all over the world with no issues and usually you just ask and someone brings the iron and ironing board to your room in a hotel. I was also told I had to use the iron in the back section of the office, I couldn't take it to the room. I was okay with that - just lugged my ironing over and then tried to carefully carry it back over the courtyard later to our room. When checking out, however, I was astonished to find I was being charged 5 euros (it might have been slightly less or slightly more - it was nearly two months ago and I can't remember the exact amount). The same woman was in the office when I organised the iron and when I went to check out - and when I queried the cost of using the iron just kept saying, "It's a service!" or something like that - so no rational explanation of why this was their policy. I think for the two ironing sessions I had to pay roughly $17 Australian which to me seemed a ridiculously high amount for something I felt should have been a free service given the cost of what we paid each night. I was annoyed that the charges hadn't been made clear to me when I requested an iron - at no point was it explained that there was a fee involved. If I had known that I would have done all my ironing in one session. The woman who I booked the iron through was very brusque and not at all welcoming - unlike all the other lovely staff there. This woman would benefit from some customer service training. So would we stay there again? Definitely not. As I said it just takes one bad incident...and it is extremely rare that we ever post anything negative about accommodation we have booked.

Firstly, 1 star rating is more than it deserves. Owner the rudest I’ve ever uncounted. Apartment is 10 min away from the pool/actual hotel and would have cost us an additional €240 to use after paying €1000 o a day and is tiny!!. When we contacted the owner around the situation she turned defensive and just told us to cancel and was the rudest I’ve ever uncounted , I informed her we had a 7 year old and a 4 year old and if she was going to cancel to let me know so we can organise alternative accommodation, then proceeded to respond to my email saying it was fine and then to wait a day (5min before check in) to cancel. Avoid at all costs and read the bad reviews as there are a few around the apartments, they are in a separate building 10 min walk away with no access to the pool.
