Barion Hotel in Bari

We chose this hotel as we needed a parking spot and we didn’t mind driving to go to the city. Price and quality do not match.
Arrived at night after a long drive and the receptionists were nothing but kind or welcoming. It was disappointing to see that behaviour. While we were bringing our luggage upstairs they were staring at us until the elevator door closed.
They informed us about breakfast and its price in a very rude way, assuming that we wouldn’t be interested.
To be fair the next day we left our things at the reception desk for a couple of hours and the lady we met in the morning was great. Smiling and helpful. When we returned to pick them up the stuff was changed again and the issues remained. Rude and dismissing and didn’t even say goodbye.

It’s next to a gas station which is helpful and it’s 20 minutes from the Bari and the port.

If you’re planning to stay here for some peace and quiet please don’t. We were allowed to stay in the room until 11 but woke up very early as the cleaners kept banging things on the rooms above and next to us.

Very disappointing experience.

The location opposite a busy four-lane highway isn't at all what we expected from a vacation hotel. Furthermore, the seafront isn't within walking distance.
There's no point in booking a room with a sea view, given that the view overlooks the road first. It's impossible to leave the window open because of the noise.
The breakfast was good and plentiful, with a relatively wide selection. The only downside, as in many hotels, is that the scrambled eggs are industrial and uncooked.

The hotel is easily accessible by car, located right next to the highway. Fortunately, the traffic noise doesn’t reach the rooms. For breakfast, only the pastries are any good — the rest is a disgrace to Italian cuisine. The bathroom is moldy. The beds are comfortable, and overall the place is clean. Parking is available, which is an advantage compared to other hotels. The staff is friendly and helpful.
