GH Gallipoli Resort in Gallipoli

Visited twice to try and eat in the restaurant as we were staying nearby and it was within walking distance. First time we’re told the restaurant is closed due to a function. Second time there was also a function starting at 9pm but we could eat at the restaurant from 7.30pm. Had some drinks in reception which is like an airport waiting terminal then walked up to the restaurant at 7.40pm - no one in sight at all, no waiters, welcome staff or other guests. We just had to leave. Absolute waste of our time and money. Do not bother.

Online reservation for one night with half board from 21 to 22/10. When we arrived there, we were informed that the restaurant was closed for a private evening. Despite everything, we were offered an express meal (a few pasta as a starter, two thin slices of meat and a handful of fries, and a fruit salad for dessert). The next morning, it was the worst: for breakfast, some rusks and a café au lait were offered to us in a room where a tsunami had passed: we had to clear a corner of the table ourselves to be able to have our coffee . Pitiful service, unworthy of a Resort hotel**** We express our dissatisfaction at reception, the receptionist is embarrassed by this grotesque situation but she is not in a position to provide us with a commercial gesture. Paying such a price for such poor performance is unacceptable.

Dirty swimming pool, dirty water and bottles with dirty glasses scattered everywhere. Because there was no cleaning staff. The flushing didn't work in the room and there was no hot water.. when they went to speak to the manager, Mr. Alessandro attacked me even though we brought with us a 2 month old baby...he was a rude person with so much arrogance and power that I can't tell where he got it from...and not to be recommended to everyone especially to those with children because it's all dirty...despite everything he told us to leave the building because he didn't have another room that had hot water and threw us out at 9 in the evening with a newborn baby...how DISGUSTING

We came to spend a week here for our honeymoon and left after 36 hours. It was not a 4 star resort but a 2 star motel with a pool. We found many of the staff to be unhelpful and very unwelcoming. It was very disorganised and they released fireworks for 20 minutes, only 50m from our room at 1am for a wedding without informing us first. We thought we might be staying in Syrai, not Southern Italy. The gardens were kept in beautiful condition so at least somebody there does a good job.
