Hotel Al Pescatore in Gallipoli

Hotel was beautiful, bedroom lovely. Spotless clean. Food was disappointing especially as it was hotel and restaurant. Nowhere to relax and no bar area. Breakfast buffet was exactly the same each day although Ive got to say the coffee and croissants were gorgeous. Staff were very nice. Don't think they are used to British people going there on holiday and even though I love pasta and fish I didn't want it each day. No salads, no vegetables either. Mainly shellfish and pasta which sometimes we couldnt recognise what it was filled with!

Good location in the old town; easy to park the car nearby (harbour parking); nice old building; good breakfast. Overall a pleasant experience- it is our second stay in this hotel.

I had the great pleasure of dining at Al Pescatore yesterday evening with my sister and aunt, and I would never have expected to find such exceptionally fresh fish, top-quality ingredients, and simple yet refined flavors.

If you enjoy raw fish, I highly recommend the crudo selection (prawns, riccio di mare, mackerel, tuna) – it was outstanding. For those who prefer more robust, earthy flavors, the octopus and pecorino meatballs are a must-try.

We each ordered different main courses, and they were all equally delicious: linguine with mixed seafood, spaghetti with tuna and bottarga, and ravioli with prawns and burrata. The waiter was knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect white wine to pair with our meal.

They also served us freshly baked bread and traditional Pugliese tarallucci. Portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and the staff were kind, attentive, and well-prepared.

The location couldn’t be better – right on the seafront in the heart of Gallipoli.

We really enjoyed our stay in Gallipoli at the Al Pescatore. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Location was excellent, close to all the amenities in the old town. We had dinner in restaurant on the first evening and got 10% off bill. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Would recommend

Location is great, our room was on the second floor with a nice sea view (I think the rooms on the 1st floor are better), it is clean with a good mattress, and a good breakfast. We were lucky and found a free parking space (white lines at the entrance of the parking lot), the blue line parking lot is 10 euros per day. We had our first dinner at the restaurant, which was good. in my opinion the "crudo per due" was not great and expensive.
