Baia Degli Dei Beach Resort in Castella

The castle is amazing and you get to see it every day while you are at the beach or at the pool. Staff is friendly but not oriented to non-Italian visitors. Animation is the weak side - I often found the games dull and not exciting (example - kicking a ball to someone’s butt). Food is good, you really get to know some of the Italian cuisine. The town nearby (Le Castella) is also amazing.

Excellent cuisine, local, fresh. Delicious and beautiful cakes. Great location, looks romantic full of palm trees and Le Castella view. Beach a little bit crowded. Nice crew, funny animation program, but only in italuan. AC in our 2 floor room was weak. Generally nice experience.

Amazing! Beautiful sites and amazing pools! The beach is spectacular and clean. The service is impeccable!!!! They are so kind and accommodating! The bartending staff are campus staff are extremely kind and welcoming!!!! It has been an amazing holiday and I would absolutely recommend it!!!!!

The holiday was perfect. Nice environment and excellent food. Clean pools, nice sea and clean tidy beach.We appreciate fish snacks and wonderful salads the most. An offer of ice creams for lunch. Excellent evening entertainment.

Beautiful Hotel with great italian food. They offer fresh coffee! The beach is clean and it‘s easy to get sunbeds. We had great vacations!

We visited at the beginning of July. Occupancy was around 25%, and we often had the swimming pool for our selves. Only Italians in the hotel, which was great. Big thank you to Giovanni and Fabio from the main bar, who were very helpful, friendly to kids and attentive. Great Italian coffee everywhere and anytime. 5 mins walk from the town Le Castella with many shops, restaurants, etc. There is a 2400y old castle right by the beach making the view breathtaking. Definitely recommend.

ACCOMODATION
2 story villas with individual apartments are spread across well maintained garden with palm trees. Large room with TV, individual aircon, fridge. All good.

FOOD
We got all inclusive, incl. free alcohol drinks from noon.
Breakfast - only weaker point. Every day the same. It was tasty, especially freshly baked 4 kinds of croissants, but remained the same for whole week.
Lunch&Dinner - always changing, and very delicious mostly Italian food. Wide variety of starters, salads, 3 types of pasta (always done perfectly al dente), meat, fish, or seafood dish. Once we even got nice rare done tuna steak. Ice cream for lunch, different local desserts for dinner. Best was Mille-feuilles. I think we have tasted most of the italian dishes :-)

POOLS & BEACH
2 big pools, one up to 2,6m deep. Jacuzzi and pool for little kids. All very clean, with life guards. Nice sandy beach, directly in front of the hotel. Free chairs from 6th row. Very clean beach and water. Gradual entrance into the sea. Perfect for kids.

ENTERTAINMENT
Very large Animation crew of of about 17 people. Very friendly and helpful. Had a lot of energy and a lot of different activities for the kids. They also had activities and games for adults, evening shows with singing and dance shows. Guy with guitar played live after lunch and in the evening by the main bar. All done in Italian, but anyone can follow and was a lot of fun. They even have a big stage/amphitheater with professional sound and lighting equipment for the evening shows.

One tip. Since the hotel is clearly oriented towards Italians, not so many people can speak English which didn’t bother us. It would be very helpful to have a manual in English explaining all animations programs, trips, what hotel has to offer and especially that one pool is for relaxation only etc. We figured it out on our own but it would have been nice to know advance like the Italians did on their first night during the information show. I would also add some more people in the morning during breakfast to help out at the coffee corner.
We loved our stay. It was really what our family needed. Very relaxing, entertaining, good food and great people. Thank you!!!

Nice hotel. Except some "but"s.
*Beach: very crowded. Water is very clear despite sandy bottom.
*Restaurant: quite good. In the beginning they assign certain table for you and you can't change it during stay. It has pros and cons. Overall acceptable but sometimes I feel spirit of jail.
*Staff: friendly. But very few of the staff can speak English. Even at the reception.

Overall I like it.
