This hotel shouldn’t be categorized as 3 stars. I’d say maximum 1 or 2. They never change towels, really noise as well

Somewhat good hotel in somewhat bad neighbourhood. Great location after all - 5 mins from the Central Station and on the main city corso. Stay away from the back alleys!

Location is very convenient, close to the main train station and terminus of two subway lines (Piazza Garibaldi). Nevertheless, it has simple rooms with little soundproofing. Since Naples city center is quite noisy (honking horns day and night), this is a point against. Besides, it has no elevator. You need to climb 3 staircases to get to the rooms. Breakfast is simple, but ok (bread, ham and cheese, fruits, juice and coffee on demand).

Room did not have a lockable bathroom. The interiors were kinda shady. I wasn't all that satisfied with the way reception dealt with the check in. The room was well sized and I liked that a lot.

It was not possible to use the wifi in the room. I can not connect it.
The bathroom door is broken.
There are only stairs.
Construction is done in the midnight, noisy.
Towels and sheets were dirty.
Rooms and buildings were beautiful, but they were not comfortable. I was irritated.

We had to go to the other hotel (Naples Garibaldi Square) because of some water problem. The rooms was quite modern, the breakfast was good with a good choice (even of we were a bit late), apart from the brioches (which were a bit old)

+ Posizione fantastica a due passi da stazione centrale e mentropolitana, 10 min a piedi dal centro. Struttura, molto carina:semplice, ma pulita, camera spaziosa ed accogliente!Staff gentile e disponibile! Consiglio!!!

Hate this hotel because they have extremely poor service ,staff are not friendly at all . Elevator does not work without puting 10 cents in its machine .building is very old ,the view is the worst it was facing another building where everyone could see you .poor sanitation ,we also booked with breakfast included but we never ate because you cant eat anything but cereals .they dont put water in your fridge too.in addition to that iner our window every 10 or 20 minutes guys do some heroine and coc needles so that was really disgusting , so we do not recommend this cheap hotel at all.

We stayed at the Orsa Maggiore for four nights.
You get what you pay for - hotel is cheap (may '19) and 2 km from most of the sights. Very close to main trainstation and Porta Nolana (where trains go directly to Pompeii and Ercolano)
Staff:
If you expect a smiling or greeting clerk, find another place. The young girl behind the counter had an exceptional ability to make you feel like you bothered her.
This didn't affect our overall rating, since this isn't of importance for us. But if you value this highly, your experience will be affected.

Fine - considering what we paid.
Very noisy - lot of noise from within the hotel. Remember ear-plugs!
