Hotel Paloma in Rimini

This hotel is terrible. When we first arrived, we had to pay the full amount immediately. Upon entering the room, it smelled like a morgue – horrifying! When we inspected the beds, there was a large red stain on the sheets. The balcony barely fits ants and offers a view of the neighboring building's garbage. The room key must be handed to the reception every time you leave the room. The TV only has channels in their language, and the employee informed us that certain buttons on the remote control are blocked, so we can't change the language, programs, or connect to the internet at all. Why even have a TV in the room (not to mention the inability to connect to personal Netflix)? The bed is so uncomfortable that I can't tell if I'm lying on a mattress or rocks. We had to wait forever for the elevator, and when it finally arrived, we prayed it wouldn't get stuck due to its age. When we parked in the paid parking lot, the boss decided to park his car right in front of ours, completely blocking our way. I'm not sure if it's even humane to stay in this place, and to add to the disappointment, the staff is unfriendly. Half of them don't speak English, and the rest who can understand answer rudely and nervously. This hotel is a total disaster!!!!!

Yes, this hotel is very cheap. The location is ok, but not that convenient as there is only a very tiny public beach available. The big thing is that there is NO air-conditioning in this hotel! Each room is fitted with (a different type of) cool-air-blower, but since these are not connected to vents the hot air just comes out at the back. Not nice when it is 27 degrees in your room. Also, it is quite loud and the parking is too small. Lastly the hotel is understaffed. Case in point: The (very nice) women at the front 'desk' also serves as the barmaid, parking assistant and contact person. Because of this, our check-in took over 45 minutes. Not recommended.
