Hotel & Spa Villa Mercede in Frascati

Not a great stay. Firstly, they use strong chemicals in the room to clean, 'freshen' and maybe for mosquitos. This irritated our chests and impacted sleep. The hotel is down a long busy steep road from town. Walking is quite hazardous. There was loud music until 1am one night. The staff are, with a few exceptions, quite miserable. Breakfast was ok and the views nice. As an aside Frascati is a bit tatty. You need a car to explore wider. But the hotel car hire is unreliable.

While the hotel may meet the very basic standards expected for accommodation, my overall experience was unfortunately quite disappointing. The facilities and amenities provided felt extremely limited and lacked the level of comfort and attention one would reasonably expect for the price being charged.

What stood out most was the apparent focus on generating additional revenue rather than prioritising genuine customer satisfaction and hospitality. Many aspects of the service felt transactional, with little effort made to ensure guests felt valued, welcomed, or properly looked after during their ( I was charged €2.50 for requesting an extra tea bag and also charged for bottle of water left in the fridge that is normally complementary).

Overall, the experience did not reflect good value for money, and there appears to be significant room for improvement in both service quality and guest experience.

This hotel was more like a resort - providing outstanding staff from the front desk to restaurant, and back to the lounge bar. I would highly recommend for a stay that will provide many features such as great dining restaurants, grocery store just down the road, and public train transportation that takes you to Rome. Thank you staff!!

Frascati was lovely and a hotel full of amenities. Friendly staff and comfy, roomy accomodations. We'd be back if we're looking for something outside of Rome

What a beautiful property, and our dinner was wonderful. We would've loved to have spent more nights there, but unfortunately it was just one evening.

Great little town coupled with this great hotel spa, excellent restaurant and great views. Close (35min) to airport so great last stop before flying home.

Very good hotel, comfortable rooms, I liked the food as well! SPA and beauty center available. Nice panorama from my room window. Wide parking lot available for free.

I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Mercede in Frascati, and I’m so glad I chose this spot for a relaxing getaway just outside the buzz of Rome. The location is perfect if you’re looking for peace, with beautiful hilltop views and a quiet atmosphere — but still close enough to Frascati town for a quick visit.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Check-in was smooth, and everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and happy to help with anything I needed.

A little late, I would like to thank all of you on the staff for the great experience you allowed me to live during the few days of my stay. Hotel Villa Mercede has everything you could need when traveling, including excellent services (padel, swimming pool, spa, gym, bar, forgive me if I forget something...), a fairly varied breakfast, a fantastic view with which to relax at dinner and extremely clean rooms. But the real icing on the cake is the staff, always ready to respond to any need. I'm sorry I didn't take more photos.
