Prassede Palace Hotel in Rome

Hotel Santa Prassede is truly a "hidden gem" in Rome! The hotel was just a short walk from Termini Station (about 700 meters), and very close to the wonderful and beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. All the major attractions were easily accessible on foot (and the metro and bus lines worked well too, of course).

The hotel staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. I was also pleasantly surprised by how peacefully I slept through the night. The bed was truly comfortable, and despite the hotel’s central location, it was very peaceful. Being on a side street and having good soundproofing meant that street noises (or any others) didn’t disturb me during my stay.

The room was cozy, tastefully decorated, and the cleaning was exceptionally thorough - first-class.
The attention to detail was evident in the little things. This hotel offered far more value for money than I could have ever hoped for - it was one of the foundations of my successful visit to Rome, a magnificent city brimming with history, sights, and experiences.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Great room with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The staff were very welcoming and professional. Although they currently do not offer breakfast, they provide free coffee and various snacks, which is a nice touch. The location is excellent just a 2m walk from the bus station, with restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The area is very lively at night.

This is a hidden gem in Rome with spotless rooms, a great location and even better service from the staff. Luciano and Álvaro were always eager to make us feel at home.

Special mention to Cristina, who is a true connoisseur of Rome's history and has great recommendations for food and site seeing.

Excellent stay – highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Prassede. The location is fantastic, with easy access to almost everywhere in the city centre, which made sightseeing extremely convenient.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the attention to detail: plenty of amenities were already provided, including shampoo, soap, earplugs, an eye mask, and even a razor. The bathroom was immaculate, with very clean and new toilet seats.

A lovely bonus was the free snacks, cakes, and coffee available 24/7, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Last but not least, the hosts, Kristina and Luciano, were truly amazing and very hospitable. Kristina, in particular, was an absolute gem—kind, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable about Rome and its history. She gave us excellent advice that helped us make the most of our days in the city.

We would definitely stay here again if travelling to Rome and highly recommend it to others.

Among them, Kristina stood out with her gentle attitude and helpfulness, adding a personal touch to our visit without ever being intrusive. Her small gestures of kindness made us feel cared for in a natural, sincere way.
The location of the hotel is excellent—close to important landmarks, quiet enough for a good night’s rest, yet perfectly connected to the city. It’s a place where you can return after a busy day and truly unwind.
Overall, Hotel Santa Prassede offers comfort, warmth, and a sense of ease that makes the stay memorable. We left with a very positive impression and would be happy to return on our next visit to Rome.

We had 3 rooms, prices were good though room size varied drastically but all of us were quite happy and the rooms were fully equipped for a comfortable change, wash, sleep etc and quite a central location, with an added bonus of a brilliant irish bar a stones throw away that serves good food/drink.
