Le Undici Rose Hotel in Viterbo

I stayed at this hotel for three nights for work, so I needed a bed, a warm room, and a hot shower. Unfortunately, these amenities were not provided. I'll start by saying that the bathroom didn't have a bidet, the toilet didn't have a seat (I've attached a photo), and the sink was as big as the palm of my hand (I've attached a photo). On the first day, I had to take a completely freezing shower—nothing like lukewarm water. From the second day, the air conditioning, water flow, and TV signal would cut out and come back on every so often, so the room couldn't heat up. I was showering when the water went out for the first time, and I had to wait 7-8 minutes, covered in soap and water, for it to come back on (in the cold). This problem affected all the rooms because there were eight of us in eight different rooms, and we all had the same problem. We tried contacting reception, but since it's not open 24 hours a day, we didn't receive a response. I feel sorry for the very kind and polite owner staff, but I consider it an experience that should absolutely not be repeated.

This property is more like a rundown hostel than a hotel. Dirt everywhere, dust on every surface, unchangeable sheets, no toilet paper, and ants and cockroaches in the room.
The electricity goes out frequently, the room is freezing, the water is only cold, and the room has flooded several times. The staff is rude and unfriendly, completely indifferent to the guests' problems.
An unacceptable experience: I wouldn't stay here again, even for free. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately, our experience at this B&B in Viterbo was decidedly disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. The room, at first glance, looked good and was apparently well-maintained, but the problems quickly emerged.

Opening the bathroom door, we found ourselves faced with a tiny, practically unusable space: the fixtures were so tightly packed that even simple use was difficult. Furthermore, the bathroom had no window and no ventilation system or fan, making the room suffocating.

The situation worsened dramatically with the total lack of hot water, an unacceptable inconvenience, especially considering the temperature outside was -3 degrees Celsius. Taking a shower in those conditions was impossible.

The comfort of the bed also left much to be desired: a low and excessively soft mattress, combined with a nearly non-existent pillow, despite its thinness, made sleep anything but regenerating.

All this for a double room paid €170 per night, without breakfast. The price doesn't even begin to reflect the quality and services offered by the property. Absolutely inadequate value for money. We wouldn't recommend this experience.

The location is excellent and the property is beautiful, but our December stay was very disappointing due to serious comfort and service issues.
​Critical and Recurring Problems: The room was freezing cold and there was no hot water. We were told it was a "boiler failure," but reading other reviews, the problem appears to be systemic and frequent. The staff, appearing listless and superficial, simply told us to wait. They didn't fix anything before midnight, and the next morning (8:30) the water was cold again.
​Unacceptable Service: The staff was absent from around 6:30 PM until the next morning. The level of service was below that of a basic B&B, not a hotel.
​Zero Comfort: There is no soundproofing whatsoever. We could hear every sound, including the neighbors' breathing. Furthermore, the minibar was empty.
Parking: It's listed in the services, but it's a municipal paid parking lot (1.50 per hour, even on holidays), and it's difficult to find a space.

Be careful, the guy isn't present at the hotel, we arrived a little early and no one answers when we call, in fact he even blocked the number. By telephone.

Untrusted and reliable character

Rating -100. Completely scandalous mystical experience. Something like this has never happened (and I travel to a lot of hotels for work). When we arrived (with 2 other colleagues) there was a girl sitting as if she were at the bar and already there not a great start. But the best part came with the boy at the reception. Arrogant and rude, but okay, the problem arose at the time of payment as the ATM wasn't working and he wanted an instant bank transfer (to avoid paying the commission, obviously). When I asked for the details to then make the bank transfer, the response was "Do I have to tell you again? I want the bank transfer now". When he responded, stunned, we decided to leave and the response was "the better! This is my house and I decide". PHENOMENON.

Disappointed with the stay there and almost cheated out of money

The room itself was completely OK, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were fine.

We had difficulty finding the hotel because the house number is there, but well hidden. The hotel doesn't have a sign either, the name is just on the inside door. If the doors are closed, you as a guest are at a disadvantage. The breakfast is disappointing. Italians apparently don't eat anything for breakfast, but we're not Italians. As a hotel owner you should take this into account. We don't have any special requirements, but coffee and croissants are not breakfast. The room is noisy because there is a public parking lot nearby. The shower is so small that as a grown man you can't wash there at all or only with difficulty and contortions. The warm water only runs after a long pause, which gives the feeling that there is no warm water at all.
They also tried to collect the accommodation tax from us twice, once upon arrival and then on the day of departure. So be careful as guests!
The description of the hotel is only partially true. So the statement “parking space included” is not tenable since the parking space costs EUR 9 per day. Furthermore, the hotel has neither room service nor concierge service, let alone free Wi-Fi. The employees are only partially polite and do not respond to guests' requests.

We will avoid this hotel in the future and do not recommend the hotel at all.

The hotel is incompetent

It didn't open at all, despite the request from the day before and the promise from the hotel and payment made in advance via Pay Pal.

Doors open at 3 p.m. After an hour nothing happened.

Zero service and not professional.

One star is still too many. I booked a room through a booking portal and paid in advance.
The hotel is hard to find, no sign, no house number. There is no reception, no staff.
Check in should be 3 p.m. There was no one there. I rang the bell in vain. A call at 3:10 pm said I should wait a few minutes...

At 3:30 no one was there and I left. I looked for another hotel.
I'll get the money I paid back!
