First the positive things: friendly staff, close to the station, clean.
Unfortunatelly it was very noisy. The walls are very thin. I could hear every word of my neighbour. In addition on the back of the hotel was a parking space were people were partying and there were some very noisy motorcycle with engine running all night long.
I'm usually not staying in four star hotels but looking at the old furniture it looks more like a two star place.
Around the area, especially in the street in front of the station there were many groups of man cat-calling you every time you walked by. It was super annoying. I would not walk that street alone when it's dark.

Mattress hard as a rock. A/C almost entirely non-functional: lowered the temp only a few degrees below the 90something degree outside temp. Rude front desk service. Avoid at all costs.

I normally don't write bad reviews but my partner and I were really struck at how unfriendly and unclear the service/Hotel was. We didn't sleep well at all, as the walls were like paper. We could hear everything! When we asked for another room we were declined even though the hotel was empty. The flashing light alarm was directly over our bed and kept waking us up. Also, the bed had a protruding/ broken spring sticking out that made it difficult to actually lie down and rest. Honestly, the overall atmosphere was like entering a creepy episode of the Twilight Zone. Unwelcoming, overpriced and disappointing.

Short walk to old city and next to railway station. Uses old style Italian plug sockets, standard two pin plugs and adapters do not fit.
