Breakfast is great. Free and safe parking is a big plus. Did not miss living in the city area Genoa as the terrain is chaotic. Great place to to stay if you are driving.
Have stayed in this hotel 5-6 times in the last 10 years. Always love the staff service. The restaurant is also excellent for its attentive staff and lovely genovese food. Breakfast is also excellent. Although I hope an upgrade will come soon, the rooms are clean but tired.
Thanks to Mercure Genoa. You made me see the beauty of this world. I’ll definitely come back again.
Excellent hotel with very friendly reception and very clean rooms. It was cold when we arrived but inside the hotel the temperature was ideal, the room was so pleasant that we didn't even need to turn on the heating but I believe that those who are cold would be very warm. We really liked it and would definitely stay there again 👍
Great quality price value, we had prestige room, good amenities and quick check in/out. Parking is great just near the elevators, location great near highway
The location is so bad. For those traveling many cities in Europe and just stopping by Genoa, I would not recommend here. It’s too far from city center or station and very inconvenient to reach. Hotel amenities are so limited considering the is Mercure. While this may not be this hotel problem, but workers in cafeteria are discriminating against Asians. It might be common in Europe.

A good one, clean, the reception helps you with every little thing, very close to the train station
Walk distance from train station but with a little slope. Friend and very nice staff. The room is wide. But Personally dislike smell in the room.
Excellent hotel, colorful and clean.
The location is excellent. The breakfast is nice, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful
Walking distance from the train station. Single room, quite spacious, 2 windows in the room and 1 in the bathroom. The hotel is quite old, but clean.
Unfortunately the room (and the structure) are old, along with the upholstery. After days of travel, they are not the ideal place to relax. The dust in the elevator gears tells of years of neglect. I found the reception staff very kind. Overall, the quality-price ratio is not good.

We arrived on a weekend when hotels were very expensive. If I'd paid three times less for this hotel, which is what it normally costs, I probably wouldn't have complained. However, the value for money was completely unsatisfactory. It's not a place I'd want to return to, unless it undergoes a complete renovation.
I don't know if it's a bad location or that the city is kind of ugly. Although the hotel is located at a super-strategic train and bus stop, the city has a lot to talk about. They were very attentive with the cleanliness of the room, which surprised me. They serviced my room without me asking, so don't leave anything of value inside. I didn't lose anything, but it's still better to be cautious.
The location of the hotel is OK, near the train station, and it was easy to find with navigation. It seems to have just been renovated, and the room has a decorative feel. The hotel is compact overall, and the elevator is small, which can only accommodate two people with luggage. The bathroom is small and not very convenient to use, but fortunately the shower water is very strong. The front desk staff...
the hotel was perfect, the room was very clean and very nice. The only problem was maybe the elevator that with the suitcases is a bit uncomfortable because it was small, but for the rest everything was perfect.
Location is good, near Coach and Train terminal. Although facilities are basic, it is good enough for the short stay and represent good value for money
It takes 5 minutes to transfer to the center circle of the pier, subway and train station. The hotel is clean and well-equipped. Along the seaside line, you can reach the Maritime Museum and Diving Aquarium. During the period, you can enter the retired submarine, making it suitable for family travel.

Very clean,good location. Good staff.
It was perfect, very comfortable place, located near train station
The hotel is conveniently located, a 5-minute walk from the Piazza Principe train station and 10 minutes from the city center and the port. The room is clean and comfortable. Bottled water, tea, and instant coffee are provided. The only drawback is the small shower.
The hotel has a great location. That's where the positives end. The reception staff is extremely unfriendly; they don't say hello or goodbye. The rooms are old, the walls are stained, it's noisy until late at night, there's a smell of food in the room from the cafe on the ground floor, and the Wi-Fi signal is terrible.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to Prince Train Station, with convenient transportation and a rich selection of hotels, restaurants and bars around it. However, the hotel is as old as the city of Genoa, with no elevator and simple breakfast. Although the bathroom has been renovated, the shower room is too small, making it almost impossible to move while taking a shower. At the same time...
This was a very lucky trip. We originally booked this hotel, but this hotel did not have an elevator and our luggage was very heavy. I tried to ask the front desk lady if she could change a room with an elevator for us, and then we were upgraded to a room that was very spacious and comfortable!

The hotel is very nice. We had a comfortable room, except for the bed, which, rightfully, is a struggle to please everyone. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly. It's close to the center. The only downside is having to pay cash for parking instead of using the debit card. Otherwise, everything was fine.
The hotel wasn’t bad, staff can be more friendly. Room was nice 👍
Don’t go by car to this hotel, parking is a nightmare. Lousy breakfast. Room clean and okay.
ok could be better. The breakfast was the let down , there was more people than tables at breakfast and the items for breakfast was not great and poor presentation. Items were not replaced on a regular basis ie no cold milk meats not refilled etc.
Superb! Really nice place to stay. Beds super comfy and the breakfast was absolutely superb with so much choice!! Also one of the only places with parking onsite!
Excellent Hotel, very friendly, great location to the port and the football stadium, rooms and hotel are spotless, breakfast was great, would stop there again. 15min walk to the front and 15 min walk to the football stadium, alot of hill walking so be advised.

Paper thin walls. 3:30 am banging doors and crying next door. The staff were good and eager to help an old hard of hearing old man. Very clean. Good location near train station, restaurants, and historic old town

Perfect location for those arriving/departing from Brignole station. An apartment with antique Genoese mosaic floors divided into several rooms, some of which also have kitchenettes. The management is always available to guests, and the property offers excellent value for money for those who appreciate the simple furnishings and, above all, the kindness of the owner, who also provides Ligurian focaccia...
It was in a good location and the room was large, but more attention should have been paid to cleanliness, and the whole room had a specific smell that was not pleasant. The cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet was very poor.Close to the city center and metro station
Friendly welcome, well located, clean. Breakfast was very mediocre.
This was our first time in Genoa. We stayed with four people: me, my two children, and my mother. We were greeted by the owner, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, the rooms were large, and spotlessly clean. We felt right at home. We'll definitely stay here again every time we visit Genoa. The B&B is in a great location, with a supermarket, pharmacies...

Great location. Right next to train station. Also easy walk to the cruise terminal. Only problem was that air conditioning was not working properly.
Nice budget stay close to the Aquarium in Genova.
I would say, better don't book here Room, because Air Condition was broken, very small elevator for a max 1 Person and Breakfast was to poor. Only Good Look from a Window
Extremely helpful staff. For the price, had a very pleasant experience. Would definitely stay there again.

Not so great hotel We chose this hotel because it had a bath however this was too dirty to use. The room wasn't cleaned for the 3 days we were there so the bins weren't emptied and the towels not changed. Drinks were not replaced though we could get coffee downstairs and there was a water machine but no free bottles. Breakfast was poor, no morning rolls or croissants left by 10am. No spoons to eat...

Room was clean but walls needed a paint job desperately! A/c did not work ! Great location if you were cruising as it was walking distance.
The beds were really comfy and the space we had was great as we were moved from a triple room to a 3 bed apartment. This would have been magnificent except we had 2 broken fans and no aircon and so were roasting. The apartment was seemingly mid being redecorated and had lots of 'unfinished' bits, so I assume that rooms had run out. The lovely cold water dispenser, kind staff (who humoured me using...

Good for a cheap hotel A nice hotel, just maybe on the wrong side of town. The communal areas are a little rundown but my room was lovely, clean and fun view of the docks. For 1-2 nights it is quite acceptable. Yes, it is old, but the price is reasonable. Very hospitable and helpful owner, he was very kind and solved all our problems (leave luggage until the evening train, etc.). The hotel has a tasty and cheap pizzeria. Decent room, spacious and clean, the fact that the toilet is separate is a bit inconvenient, but it will do for 1 night. Very responsive owner of the hotel
Excellent hotel. Friendly owner. The rooms are not large, but everything is there.
Water temperature problems The shared bathroom shower has got serious problems. Adjusting water temperature is almost impossible. The water burns you spontaneously changing temperature itself. Apart from this, everything was perfect.
I'd stay again. The room as great. However, I would have liked to have my own bathroom. The location is great for being in Genova!
The room was small but nicely decorated and clean. Everything you need was there. There is a lovely old staircase but also an old style typical Italian elevator to the 5th floor.
Beautiful large rooms , very clean , convenient , pretty much seamless - if you are independent and can find your way around , need concierge services , directions - be aware it isn’t manned most of the time , but the staff seems accessible with WhatsApp if there is an issue . The welcome was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel is well-located, and the room was pleasant and clean, despite a minor drawback with the air conditioning noise. The shared toilets and shower were not a problem at all and were very clean.
Conveniently located in the city center. Quiet. The lady at the front desk was friendly. What I didn't like: The twin beds were pushed together but kept sliding apart. The shower was tiny. Breakfast isn't available as there's no kitchen, though to be fair, there's a lobby area with a vending machine, a bottle warmer, and a microwave.
We booked for 4 people after only taking 1 shower the bathroom was out of service because there was no water flow. Fortunately the hotel has 1 shared bathroom that we were able to use. Refreshment and sanitation work is necessary.
Nice hotel. Clean, neat. Good air conditioning. There is a balcony in the room, you can dry your clothes. Minus - uncomfortable bed - mattress and pillows
Directly on XX Septembre. Parink a bit out of the way.
Great location. Amicable staff. Third floor of an old building with almost no amenities. Clean.

Great location next to the central train station. Room was clean and spacious. Within easy walking distance of the harbor, shopping, and restaurants. An issue for those with mobility concerns is the absence of an elevator/lift.
Very good location for cruise passengers. Ealking distance. Also walking distance to train station.
The staff was friendly and helpful The street noise was terrible, people yelling all night long and worse at 4am No sound insulation at all
Great breakfast and room for decent price! Pros: spacious, good thick towels, great location, good breakfast! Cons: run-down, mold growing in the ceiling corner in bathroom, AC didn’t do much and it was VERY hot, door was like a bedroom door in an apartment- not very solid or easy to close properly
The location is close to main rail station. Very convenient.
It was very close to the station, so it was convenient for traveling with a suitcase. It's a shame that the room was dimly lit. The room had a certain lived-in feel. There was a kettle and coffee and tea facilities in the room. The shower booth was a little too small, so I think it would be difficult for overweight people.

There is no lift and the property is on the 3rd floor. It is inside a secure building. The street to the hotel is quite steep. There are two ways to enter the property. This is a very old hotel in Genoa, close to the GNV. I arrived after 7 pm, no staff available at the reception. However, hotel provided clear instructions on what to do to get in. I don’t understand why people rate this hotel that low. The AC runs pretty well, you can’t say it doesn’t work, because you feel the difference when you’re in and out. The hotel is close to the train station of Genova Brignole, it deserves plenty of stations, there’s even local stores you could visit, and even beaches so close of this spot.
Located directly in Genoa. Nice staff. Rooms neat and clean. Some rooms with balconies available.
What a lovely find. Centrally located hotel. Close to Brignole station. Well connected to all of Genoa, including Boccadasse. The bus stop is just around the corner. Comfortable and clean room. Friendly and professional staff. Convenient vending machine for snacks and coffee. Quiet but not isolated area. Congratulations.
The room was very cozy and nice. The quality/price ratio was really good for a 1-star hotel in high season. The only drawback was the outside noise from traffic. The reception was friendly. Excellent for a 1-2 night stay and a quick visit to the city.
Near the brignole station, lot of breakfast areas around, had a farmacy nearby. Soundproofed windows. Clean. Staff was great. She waited for us until we arrive late. Hot water in the shower was great. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids, they had a double decker bed and me and my wife at the matrimonial bed. Room space was more than enough.. very good price value!! The hotel is really nice, you can meet a lot of people right away. It's very close to the city center, which is super convenient if you want to pop into Genoa. Recommended – it's comfortable and affordable.
The carpet in the room was very dirty, and the kitchenware was not only broken but also greasy, indicating a lack of maintenance. I wouldn't recommend it to people who are very clean. The advantage is that it's very close to the station.
Very nice building, wonderful common areas, everything in order, except for a problem with the elevator, one of the two is not working, so there is a bit of a wait for the elevator.
It was a nice loft apartment  Breakfast was ok but …
It's close to the airport; my flight landed quite late, so it only took about 10 minutes to get there. The environment was okay, though a bit noisy on the first floor. I was in such a rush that I didn't have time to explore the area.
Great hotel with a friendly atmosphere! I'll be happy to come again! Perfect for young people. Only the beds are metal and the mattress is hard.. everything else is just super!
