We enjoyed our stay, staff was very friendly when we checked in. The hotel has several excellent cafes close by, location was decent nice by day and close to all the amenities, and old town.

We went to this hotel after a bad experience we had with another called bologna in Genova and luckily we found our place.The staff did anything to help us immediately and we found what we expected.Overall a good experience that anyone can go.

Basic hotel room which met my needs. My first two nights were a bit noisy due to the proximity of a bar that I was unaware of. My third night was in a different room that was simply quiet bliss! The staff were all wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. I am still missing the delicious coffees! Hotel Helvetia is close to many attractions, including the train station and the waterfront.

Water temperature problems The shared bathroom shower has got serious problems. Adjusting water temperature is almost impossible. The water burns you spontaneously changing temperature itself. Apart from this, everything was perfect.

The welcome was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel is well-located, and the room was pleasant and clean, despite a minor drawback with the air conditioning noise. The shared toilets and shower were not a problem at all and were very clean.

Conveniently located in the city center. Quiet. The lady at the front desk was friendly. What I didn't like: The twin beds were pushed together but kept sliding apart. The shower was tiny. Breakfast isn't available as there's no kitchen, though to be fair, there's a lobby area with a vending machine, a bottle warmer, and a microwave.

We booked for 4 people after only taking 1 shower the bathroom was out of service because there was no water flow. Fortunately the hotel has 1 shared bathroom that we were able to use. Refreshment and sanitation work is necessary.

Hotel was clean and staff were very nice and helpful when the ac wasnt preforming well. they supplied us with a fan and even let us switch rooms. we had a nice view of the boat port and got to see all the boats come and go.

Very kind people and quaint set up.

I stayed for a weekend with a group of friends. Basic rooms but very clean. Bed ok. Nice view over the neighbouring villas and partial sea view from the balcony. Great position close to clubs and restaurants. There are 2 chargers for electric vehicles. The young ladies at the reception and the waitresses were very kind.

It was very close to the station, so it was convenient for traveling with a suitcase. It's a shame that the room was dimly lit. The room had a certain lived-in feel. There was a kettle and coffee and tea facilities in the room. The shower booth was a little too small, so I think it would be difficult for overweight people.

Hotel was clean and the service was excellent really nice and polite people. The bathroom and actual room were separated but we didn’t have to share it with anyone which was good. The street is maybe little but dangerous but place is near a bigger street so it wasn’t a big problem.

This is a hidden gem in Genova. I stayed here for two nights in a room with a private bathroom. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities you might need. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the old town—but be prepared to use the stairs, as it’s an old building. I would definitely come back if I visit Genova again.

This hotel is right in the downtown area but I would not describe it as a hotel. It is more of a pensione with a common bathroom for the rooms. There is no common area for guests. I don’t understand why people rate this hotel that low. The AC runs pretty well, you can’t say it doesn’t work, because you feel the difference when you’re in and out. The hotel is close to the train station of Genova Brignole, it deserves plenty of stations, there’s even local stores you could visit, and even beaches so close of this spot.

Fine for a night! Staff were really nice and helpful, condition of property was dated. Bathroom was very makeshift and everything needed work. Room was a good size, but bed was old, soft mattress and made so much noise every-time you rolled over! A very good hotel for a short stay. It's close to the port and pleasant. The noise is still quite present, but it stops around midnight. The bedding could use replacing; it's quite unpleasant to feel the springs.

An excellent hotel in a perfect location near the train station and the Flixbus stop, and right next to a bus stop with a direct connection to the airport. Comfortable, spacious, and clean rooms and bathrooms. Above all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are delicious. We’ve stayed here twice and will definitely be back.

This Hotel had the best service I have ever experienced when traveling especially abroad. The gentleman at the reception set the bar so high, that the other hotels I have stayed in cannot compare. The breakfast service was outstanding and very delicious. Finally they let me leave my backpack and heavy items at the hotel while I visited Genoa. Book with them you wont regret it.

I loved it there! Walter is so nice, gives good recommandation of where to eat and what to visit! The Albergo is in a walking distance of everything too! The rooms are clean and the toilets too. I was able to bring my dog also. I will definetly go back there next time I’m in Genova :)

Nice hotel with very friendly and hospitable hosts. It was a bit confusing to find, because there is no clear sign at the entry and Albergo Novecento is situated on the 3rd floor. After climbing 2 flights in this old and beautiful building you find an ancient but reliable elevator.
