Hotel was clean and the service was excellent really nice and polite people. The bathroom and actual room were separated but we didn’t have to share it with anyone which was good. The street is maybe little but dangerous but place is near a bigger street so it wasn’t a big problem.

Excellent value for your euros or dollars or whatever your currency may be. Friendly staff, homey atmosphere and excellent advice about places to see in Genoa and thereabouts. Nowhere else in Genoa can you get a better place. Highly recommended.

Our first contact with the hotel right before checking in was problematic. Not the most amazing experience here. The air conditioning was not working properly during our stay and we were met with condensation from the staff. They did fix the AC our second day. They rely on WhatsApp to communicate with you during your stay and expect you to respond quickly. Overall, the room was fine. It was the staff who left us not feeling welcome or wanting to return.

The hotel is clean and quiet as described. The first night the AC was not working properly and our room was quite hot in the middle of summer. Fine for a night! Staff were really nice and helpful, condition of property was dated. Bathroom was very makeshift and everything needed work. Room was a good size, but bed was old, soft mattress and made so much noise every-time you rolled over! Area didn’t feel great at night, would be fine for a couple but I wouldn’t stay here alone again.

A very good hotel for a short stay. It's close to the port and pleasant. The noise is still quite present, but it stops around midnight. The bedding could use replacing; it's quite unpleasant to feel the springs.

The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. For breakfast, you could choose a brioche, and the focaccia was superb. The metro station is just a short walk from the property.

Something very special, a small castle with wonderful waves all night long. very pleasant for everyone who loves the sound of the sea.

No elevator and no help to take the suitcases upstairs. Staff was grumpy and gossiped about us in Italian to other guests. Very limited breakfast options, slow to refill whatever was empty.

Absolutely amazing, the hotel is literally on the beach, I'd say 25m from the water, lovely place to snorkel, there are a lot of fish species and hundreds of them. Hotel is great, clean and staff are lovely. Lots of things to do around as well if you're into visiting stuff, great connection with buses all around.

The hotel is in a good location near the airport. Ideal for early flights. It has a comfortable large bed, air conditioning, and a clean bathroom. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, which is convenient if you have several suitcases.

Lovely overnight stay in an area just outside city centre by a few kilometres. Still easy to get to and had a local feel with many workers and families coming together under the arcades. Nice to have breakfast included in price. Would recommend the bed to any traveller!

An excellent hotel in a perfect location near the train station and the Flixbus stop, and right next to a bus stop with a direct connection to the airport. Comfortable, spacious, and clean rooms and bathrooms. Above all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are delicious. We’ve stayed here twice and will definitely be back.

This Hotel had the best service I have ever experienced when traveling especially abroad. The gentleman at the reception set the bar so high, that the other hotels I have stayed in cannot compare. The breakfast service was outstanding and very delicious. Finally they let me leave my backpack and heavy items at the hotel while I visited Genoa. Book with them you wont regret it.

Hotel was clean and staff were very nice and helpful when the ac wasnt preforming well. they supplied us with a fan and even let us switch rooms. we had a nice view of the boat port and got to see all the boats come and go.

Basic hotel room which met my needs. My first two nights were a bit noisy due to the proximity of a bar that I was unaware of. My third night was in a different room that was simply quiet bliss! The staff were all wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. I am still missing the delicious coffees! Hotel Helvetia is close to many attractions, including the train station and the waterfront.
