Where to stay in Sanremo

The hotel is a beautiful old building! But needs updates! Very clean and the staff was great!. There is charge for using towels and lounge chairs in the pool even if you are guest! Not cool! Rather pay and visit the beach clubs across the street.

Amazing Ole Grand Dame Lovely hotel very reasonable priced. Excellent location with free parking in large lot at back of hotel. No issues whatsoever. Perfect location for beach clubs and short walk to centre. Large very clean rooms. Dated furniture but absolutely charming. Everything worked well and will stay again. A palace of faded elegance Fantastic. Clearly this the the most modern and luxurious hotel in San Remo about 50 years ago. since then it has been well maintained, but not really modernised much. The food was fab, the pool great and the pool side bar/restaurant top class. Really top class, but a bit old fashioned - which is fine if you don't want the latest guff.

Very nice hotel, excellent position in Sanremo, just 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Swimming pool very nice and clean. You pay 20 euro / daily for a sun bed, but the organization of the pool services (bar and service) justifies the price

To sit and have breakfast outside by the pool was absolutely wonderful. The view from our room across the pool and over the gardens towards the sea was very special. The hotel itself is nice and tidy, however service is bad. All reception team are not willing to help anyone and doesn’t sound cheerful. Waiters in restaurant discussing customers in front of them. Extra surprise- there is no fresh water in room, you can buy it for 2euro from minibar. One more disappointment - beach club is not included also (the description states an exclusive beach area). A beautiful hotel that is sits in a lovely location. It is only a very short walk to the, shops , bars etc. The pool area is very relaxing . I have stayed here 6 times as it is a well run hotel and the staff take great pride in their work.

An outdated hotel desperately clinging to its former glory days. For the price its definitely not a 5 star accommodation. Very uncomfortable bed and many burnt out bulbs in the room. The pool which we were looking forward to was poorly maintained with large brown stains at the bottom of it and yellowing tiles. Would not recommend.

We had a wonderful week stay at the Royal sanremo hotel. We enjoyed the classic old charm of the hotel, the stunning view and heated swimming pool designed by gio ponti. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean while preserving the timeless atmosphere of an iconic hotel.

The staff are nice, the room was located towards the back of the hotel and nice and quiet. Only downside was that The room didn’t have a kettle or a duvet/comforter as it did get a little chilly in the evening.

The hotel is located on the edge of the city center, making it easy to get to everything. However, it's not exactly in the center. Parking is limited, but you can park for free on the street.

The room is big, and the ceilings high, but the air conditioning doesn't really work, the bed is two twins put together and the pillows very hard, overall the actual hotel and room are beautiful Also good breakfast and location

Unlike many reviews read, the hotel met my expectations: room of adequate size as well as the bathroom. Both premises appeared clean and sanitized. In the room we also found water bottles, welcome dj chocolates and a coffee machine at our disposal included in the price. The only negative note was the breakfast: The products were not fresh, the choice was not very varied and the quality was poor.

Beautiful hotel recently refurbished. Exquisite staff, rich and copious breakfast. Clean and very nice rooms. We will come back for sure. Also ideal for 4-legged friends who feel warmly welcomed !! Excellent position to reach bathing establishments .. only flaw: lack of car parking ....

The hotel is low priced, you'll get a basic but outdated room. Beds could be better, shower is pretty small. If you don't have high standards and want a cheap room. It's ok.

What I did NOT like is that until you have made the reservation it does not say anywhere that if you are going to arrive later than 9pm you have to call the accommodation. What I DID like is that the guy came to greet us at 9.30pm to give us the door code and charge us the tourist tax. He also took a photo of our documentation... The hotel is right in the centre, which is an advantage. The worst thing...

The guesthouse is located in the heart of Sanremo, a stone's throw from the pedestrian streets and the Ariston Theater. It is on the 4th floor of a building with a lift, in the attic. The first impression is not the best because at the entrance to the guesthouse there are traces of unfinished renovation work (electrical wires and exposed rubble). The room assigned to us was small but functional, thankfully...

Small and clean room, with the bare necessities. We tried the convenience of being able to access the room only by code and without having to talk to someone. However, this sometimes allows some tenants to have an inappropriate attitude as this method is devoid of any control. Having to wake up in the middle of the night because of the music and noise from the neighbors in the room was not a nice experience...

Outstanding stay at Europa Palace. Hotel is very modern and clearly recently renovated--rooms are spacious with all the expected amenities--breakfast was quite good also. Check in was a total disaster (zero eye contact, not even a hello or smile: plus zero information regarding the hotel facilities). And check out was worse. Charming hotel! Great location! High-quality finishing in a classic palace style! The room for three turned out to have a gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea and the domes of the neighboring temple! We had the suite with the large balcony. The breakfast was amazing especially with fresh flowers and a reserve table for us! Classic style lodging.

Central location (close to everything), no parking on site but public parking is literally across the street so it’s fine. The breakfast is amazing, and if you’re a breakfast person-it’s worth it to stay here just for that.

We have just had another wonderful short stay at the Hotel Belsoggiorno ! Maria and Matteo are always welcoming , friendly and helpful, as are all the staff . It is a traditional family run hotel with excellent breakfasts and dinners , and typical Ligurian food. Nothing is too much trouble , and a stay at this hotel is very relaxing. We will be back !

The place is overall good. The rooms can be a bit dated but offer reasonable comfort. Breakfast was a bit repetitive after day 2, but still ok. The coffee was great. Parking can be tight, but the location is excellent! The staff was friendly & helpful!

Not sure what to expect but was surprised to find the room clean. Fresh towels and immaculate toilet. My balcony gave me a brilliant view of the sea. Stunning view really. The staff here are courteous and always ready to help. I will surely come again soon.

Excellent hotel run by a lovely couple. Their pride in running the hotel runs through in all the staff who are friendly and helpful. A true family hotel, that we will visit often when in Sanremo again !!

Decor is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. Comfy beds and modern air conditioning. Food at breakfast excellent.

This wonderful little hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the busy town. The staff are warm and welcoming at all times. The continental breakfast is lovely. I have to say this is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in! The cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding. Although there is no pool. The beautiful beach is a 10 min walk away, passing tempting shops, coffee shops and ice-cream parlours...

Hotel Eletto is well situated amongst the shops and restaurants and a short walk to the sea front and beaches. The hotel has 3 floors of bedrooms and a floor for relaxing and the restaurant. We really enjoyed the hotel. It was clean. The front desk younger gentleman maybe manager was fantastic. He listened to our concerns and made sure we could park our car. I noticed every guest he was going out of his way for. Great customer service and nice hotel by the beach. Area was wonderful to walk around. We had a balcony and it was well worth it.

Property is small and clean. The location is on the port side of town not by the beach. Though that does make it closer to the shopping center of town. Lots of restaurant options. Breakfast was very good. They do not have parking. Overall a good value and experience.

Hotel located in the center of Sanremo, very close to both the Ariston and the sea. Clean rooms, a little old with some new furnishings. Also very close to the areas of local restaurants and pubs. Nice location, quiet hotel Good location, about a 20 walk from the train station. Close to the beach and the upscale shopping district. Owners are wonderful, but honestly the rooms could use a little update, some paint maybe? No elevator, so plan on lots of steps with luggage especially if you get the 3rd floor. Breakfast was good.

This hotel is perfect for a couple of nights, it’s not a 5 star but it doesn’t claim to be, it’s quirky, beds were comfortable and the lady at the desk was fantastic. We were there for 1 night stopping off on our way down to Spain. Excellent

If you are looking for a family owned Hotel with perfect location between the Beach and Shopping, this is the one. Very friendly owners who look after you and help you with everything. The Atmosphere in the hotel goes very well with the name Epoque.

Lovely staff to help with all the question we had about all the places we wanted to go or see. The building is historical, and we loved experiencing all its charm and uniqueness including the squeaky floors. We believe it was a comfortable accommodation and I’m not a young person, but young at heart.

Beautiful hotel in a typical regional style. Very well located, a 5-minute walk from the beaches and 15 meters from the town center. You can park your car for 10 euros a night, which is not expensive. The street is busy and noisy, but you can't have everything. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is generous.
