Hotel Morandi in Sanremo

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Morandi in Sanremo while visiting the city as a contestant for the Sanremo Senior 2025 event in late October. I stayed for four nights and felt comfortable and well looked after from the moment I arrived.

The hotel offered everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I especially enjoyed the morning breakfast, which featured a great variety of foods and beverages and was a perfect start to each day. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the pleasant conversations with all the staff, who were friendly, attentive and made me feel at home throughout my stay.

Being in such a beautiful city made the experience even more special, and Hotel Morandi was a wonderful place to return to after busy days connected to the event. My time in Sanremo was truly memorable, and the comfort and hospitality of the hotel played a big part in that. I would happily stay here again and sincerely hope to return in the future.

Probleme de parking

Very friendly welcome from the receptionist in French. The hotel has remained in its original state but it retains its charm. Beautiful sea view, clean room. Evening meal too copious for our small appetites. Very pleasant waiter. For a stopover it is a good address well placed with private parking

The room was well spacious and big, plus the small balcony opened up to the view of the sea, gorgeous! The bathroom, clean and big. Housekeeping did a very good job of neatly arranging our stuff each time, very very professional. Breakfast buffet was as expected, the standard hotels buffet. The fruit juices were so good though. The interior décor in this hotel is a sort of retro-music style, along with some deco instruments, and retro music artists hanging on the wall. Due to this, Hotel Morandi had my heart at first sight,......... we could have loved to play the piano though. Lastly, the receptionist, a lady by the name Ivanna, thank you very much. She went way above and beyond, to make sure we were comfortable, and she was very friendly, while keeping it professional. Bravo!! One small downside though, the bar could be better. Might wanna look into that.

Beautiful hotel in a typical regional style. Very well located, a 5-minute walk from the beaches and 15 meters from the town center. You can park your car for 10 euros a night, which is not expensive. The street is busy and noisy, but you can't have everything. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is generous. The room is a little dated but spacious and clean. But the air conditioning is noisy.... Very reasonable price compared to the services. I hope to come back one day :)

Hopefully, people who really truly love Sanremo will keep on staying in hotels like this one. The vintage authentic atmosphere is charming and is part of the whole experience. Yes the rooms are a bit dated, yes the floor boards crack, yes you can here your neighbours come in their own rooms... But the welcoming staff (special thank you to lovely Ivana) is priceless, and the breakfast buffet should be copied and pasted in every hotel! The prices for the bar aperitivi are unbeatable - and how pleasant is the lounge area with the soothing piano playing in the background.
Why people prefer to stay in a chain hotel with zero personality or soul is a mystery to me...?
