Hotel Rafael in Milan

The room was large and everything seemed OK at first glance. Then it turned out that the rooms were so thin that you could hear a vibrating cell phone somewhere in the other room. The windows were not soundproof and I could hear the tram half the night. In addition, you couldn't darken the room. But that only became clear when we wanted to leave the room - there are small switches in the window frames that lower the blinds. We didn't know the system, it's a shame there was no information about it. It was the same with the TV and German channels - again, we didn't find out until the second evening. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't my thing, I suspect they're like that in Italy - we had them in the hotel on Lake Garda too. The bathroom was OK, although a bit dated, the water drain in the bathtub (shower function) was partially blocked and the water wouldn't drain. Breakfast was OK, on ​​the first day the breakfast room was full and there was only one coffee machine. The second day was more relaxed. As I read in the reviews, the majority of the hotel's guests are Italians and guests and patients of the nearby hospital. Maybe that's why there was no information in other languages. To conclude - we were disappointed, thank God the price we paid compensated for that a little.
