Hotel Midtown in Milan

I didn’t like it at all because I paid almost 20 euros for a shared bed. When I arrived at the hostel, I found two employees: one was calm, and the other was aggressive and drunk. That man was supposedly the one who had to stay at night looking after the room, but he didn’t understand anything and his attitude was very violent, even though he was supposed to work there.

I went out to buy something to eat and, when I came back, the police were there. They had arrested the aggressive hostel worker because he had assaulted a guy who worked at the shop next door, hitting him and opening his head. The police took him away.

When I saw that scene, it felt like an action movie. It’s not what you expect from a place where you’re supposed to sleep. When I went back into the hostel, I spoke to the other receptionist and politely asked him to change my room before his colleague returned at night, especially because the door of the room where I was sleeping didn’t close properly. It was a nightmare.

The receptionist told me that if I wanted a safer room, I had to pay an extra 80 euros “for my safety.” Can you believe that? Completely crazy. I had to pay that money just to feel safe.

Later, at 3 a.m., the worker who had been at the police station came back, saying he was returning to work, and he spent the whole night arguing and fighting with his colleague, according to what he later told the owner.

In short, I do not recommend going to this place.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting and extremely unhygienic. The service was very, very bad, and I did not expect it to be this awful. The bed sheets were not clean, the pillows were dirty, and the bathroom was flooded with water and kept overflowing. The place was filthy, with hair everywhere.
I stayed only one night, and I spent most of the time outside the hotel because I couldn’t stand being there. I only returned late at night to sleep, and even then I couldn’t wait to leave. This was a terrible experience and I do not recommend this hotel at all.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting and one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. Nothing was clean at all. The floors were dirty, the room was filthy, and the bathroom was extremely disgusting. The water was overflowing in the bathroom and it was clearly not cleaned or maintained properly.

On top of that, there was no soap in the bathroom at all, which is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of basic hygiene. The hygiene level overall is unacceptable. Everything felt dirty and neglected, and the smell was horrible. It honestly felt like no effort was made to clean the room before guests arrive.

This place is a complete mess and a total waste of money. I would never stay here again and I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.

The condition of the room is shocking: a dirty blanket, a general feeling of complete neglect, and it was very cold inside. The accommodation conditions are absolutely unacceptable. It feels like basic cleanliness and comfort are simply not a concern here.

We arrived with a child, which makes the situation especially serious. These conditions are completely unsuitable for a family stay. We felt neither comfortable nor safe.

I booked an extra night because I was going to arrive at night. I informed the reception about this, and besides, I chose this hotel because on your website it says that you offer 24/7 front desk service. My flight was delayed for two hours, which was beyond my control. I arrived at the hotel on Saturday at 2 a.m., and no one opened the door for me. I had to book another hotel—I went to five different hotels, all fully booked, until I finally found one, and of course, I had to pay for it myself.

When I went back to the hotel, the receptionist told me that I had changed the time… I didn’t want to argue since I was short on time and just needed to drop off my luggage, but there were no apologies at all. The bedspread in the room was so old that I didn’t even use it. Please update the information about your services on your website, because it’s not right to mislead people. Also, walking around in the middle of the night looking for a hotel is not safe—please be more considerate!

If you want to stay at a hotel with a worse ‘vibe’ look no further. The staff were unfriendly, almost to the point of rude, didn’t even let our friend pop in for a shower and clearly treated boys/girls differently.

Also fairly certain that the night shift worker was sniffing something through the night. Not ideal if this place is considered an option for families.

The toilette was the worst. We needed a stay only for the night because of transfer and this one was the cheapest, now I know why :)
