This hostel was a building definitely. There were people inside it. There was no air conditioning and the doors were real and vibrant. The doors were very real.

The music was very good. it was within the main. Nothing listed online was present in the hostel. It was very simply, bed and bathroom.
There was nothing in the hostel.

The men were Pleasant and remained very alive with their various breathing.

When i woke up at 3:35, the man in my room had remained asleep. I never saw him wake before. I am concerned for him, I never saw him standing. I then went into the main and nothing was there. I only heard the music from the man.

The KITCHEN: was Very dirty no cutlery or tools or knives. I cut a watermelon in half with a plastic butter knife. my husband ate the entire thing, he did not eat when we went to the dinner, the hostel did not know what to do when i complained.

Pleasantly, our 60-day stay deceased. I am hoping for a renewed experience when some day, they invest in the guest experience, perhaps they fulfilled their financial goals, and have stayed afloat on a steady influx of tourism. I pray for their happiness. Tell The Man he needs it.

Thanks

Very nice place, i was here for 2 weeks and there was no problem with neighbours, service and staff. The room was clean and neighbours were nice, the staff is very kind and pleasure for any request or propose. Firstly watching other reviews i was dissatisfied but then realised that there is nothing wrong with this place.

Pretty poor experience overall. The showers were cold, and very low pressure, generally dirty with hair on the floor. There were also little bugs in the shower block.
The rooms were absolutely boiling hot, no airflow, noisy and very uncomfortable beds, they were worn out and dipped in the middle of the mattress. We had such a bad stay we left a day early and checked into somewhere else.
There was no security at all, the doors didn't lock, the front door to the hostel was always open.
Would not recommend

The staff here were great, fun and friendly. There bar was a nice addition and good way to meet people. However i dont reccomend as a solo travellor, it doesn't feel the safest - no locks on doors. Bathrooms were seriously dirty, showers were just a trickle. That said, it is a cheap hostel and if your just wanting the absolute basics, it's fine.

Koala Hostel offered a somewhat mixed experience. The staff were generally friendly, though one person made the check-in process a bit awkward by being overly meticulous with my passport. The vibe wasn’t the usual backpacker energy I expected, many guests seemed to be long-term residents, which made the social atmosphere a little strange. While there was a nice common area with a piano, guitar, and babyfoot table, the beds were quite uncomfortable and noisy, and there was no fan or AC to help on hot nights. Cleanliness was just okay. Overall, it had some positives but I wouldn’t rush back.

the room itself really isn’t nice, mould on the walls and the paint falling off the walls, the shower is just a jet stream hose and the beds are uncomfortable, which would all be fine in a hostel, it was cheap so i didn’t expect much, but the lack of aircon is unforgivable! i had a little alarm clock thing that had an inbuilt thermometer, and at 3AM, when it was 26 degrees outside, the bedroom was 38 degrees inside! i couldn’t sleep at all, spent all night sweating every night, it was just awful. i would rather have slept on the floor with no sheets of pillow or anything and have the room be a manageable temperature than have to try to sleep in an oven

On arrival the hostel seemed nice, you could see the front doors to the court yard would close at night which gave my partner and I the initial feeling of safety within the hostel, however the cleanliness and privacy in the hostel was non existent from the beginning.

On entry you go through the normal procedure of checking in, everything was fine bar the fact of a deposit which isn’t mentioned anywhere in the description of the hostels website. The deposit you have to give is either €20 or you passport so i serious recommend having the 20 on you.

We booked two separate rooms, one private twin room and one private double. On the website we used to book the twin room gave us the idea of two separate beds in a room together by the pictures that were applied with it, this was not the case. We were taken into the separate building where we were shown to a bunk bed room among a shared living space were handed keys and left to it.

In both the rooms we stayed in there was a certain smell of urine but coming from where we could never find out. The shower door was broken and there is no water heating in the shower and if there was it was only for 30 seconds or less.
The beds were old and in need of renewal. They had holes in them, were musty and just didn’t feel clean to sleep in.

In our second room (the double) we found the room to be quite small and stuffy especially with the warm weather. The double room was right beside the living room space and being the walls are so thin you can hear every step and ever murmur said amongst other guests.

All around I would not recommend this hostel only if it’s your very last option

Homeless people right by the big hostel front door at all times, rude staff.
Room was dirty and reeked of cleaning solutions, but was not clean. Staff were barging in pretty much without knocking and very much uninvited every once in a while. Very unpleasant experience overall, would not recommend to anyone.

Very rude staff, people were constantly entering the room, no privacy at all.. Durty, old and smelly rooms, everything was horrible, very unstable beds.
Nothing written in the site is accurate with reallity.
As well we booked the Panda hostel and they putted us here.

The worst hostel I have stayed in in my life.
Very rude staff, always responding with annoyance as if you were disturbing them, especially the guy there during the night.
I arrive and decide to pay by card, and between tourist tax and high, they tell me that there is an extra 10 euros to pay as they apply a 5% commission if you pay by card.
I also decide to take a bottle of water and some towels and I am charged an extra two euros.
I enter the room shared with three other girls, very dirty room, decent bathroom, but they did not even provide toilet paper.
I decide to go out into the courtyard to smoke a cigarette and the guy on duty tells me that after 10 p.m. you can't go out into the courtyard anymore, so I have to go around the whole neighbourhood and go out of the building just to be able to smoke, in a not beautiful area of Milan alone.
The next day, after a sleepless night of noise and sultry heat inside the room I head to the kitchen for breakfast, since my reservation clearly included breakfast, but no sign. I then head to ask what time it starts and with annoyance I am told that there is no breakfast because of the covid (as if we were in 2019), I then politely advised them to remove this wording from the booking confirmation and was told rather rudely that they can't do anything about it.
Common areas such as the kitchen very dirty.
I've stayed in many hostels in the past, but never like this one, it's not necessarily that for it to be a hostel you have to be neglected or have such rude staff, but unfortunately this was the case.
