Hotel Ferton in Milan

We stayed for one night. The Italian woman at the reception was extremely rude. We did the check-in with her, and she was so unfriendly and unwelcoming that it felt like we were bothering her just by being there. No smile, no greeting, no basic courtesy. We asked a simple question about parking, and she responded with visible annoyance and an impatient tone. For a hospitality role, her attitude was completely unacceptable.

The hotel itself was fine for a short stay, but the first impression at the front desk really affected our experience. A smile and a bit of kindness go a long way—unfortunately, that was completely lacking here.

Stay away from this hotel! There seems to be lots of other ones close by. They messed up our booking for 12 people, and were incredibly rude while they were doing it. They made other mistakes with our booking and when we tried to talk to anyone senior, they refused to let us. When we tried to make a complaint, the guy on the front desk acted like this happens all the time, which I'm not surprised about. It is a good location and the rooms are exactly what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel, but the stress and disappointment of getting the rooms you've booked for isn't worth it.

The man was rude, aggressive and unhelpful. We also had booked two cots and they only provided one despite an email confirming this was possible. When we asked for help on that matter, the receptionist refused and even said we could "leave a bad review, call a lawyer, I don't care." A second cot was provided on the second night. There is no way to complain to the management. The email for complaints is the same as the one for bookings, and despite sending two emails we never heard back from them. Avoid!

Avoid!

Worst experience ever! The hotel is not what they publish on booking or any other site. Rooms are small, dirty, with mold and water damaged walls and ceiling. The AC on an almost 30 degrees day was not working, the hallways are dark and dirty, the elevator is so small that only one person with one luggage can fit. We checked out as soon as we discovered this conditions. They are not responding my emails requesting a full refund, they won’t reimbursed the money paid. The front desk person Matt was so unhelpful telling me that the person in charge was not there until the next day and to email them, emails that they are now ignoring. I was with my 9 months baby and couldn’t stay a minute longer in such unsafe, unsanitary place, we left less than an hour after we arrived. Total scam place, completely unprofessional staff. I saw too employees screaming at each other while smoking at the front door on my arrival. All staff smokes at the door, they make you wait at the front desk while they are smoking in your face. And to finalize we requested a crib for our baby when we booked and got an extra bed for a baby!!
