La Fornace in Alessandria

This was the second time I spent a few days at La Fornace to recharge, last year with my son and this year with a friend. What a great time we had! Matteo is the gracious and generous host we all hope to have when going on vacation - attentive but not intrusive, always with a great recommendation on a place to visit or to eat in. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and spotless.
Don't miss the cold plunge in the morning!

Cosy rooms, beautiful place, and a very friendly welcoming host. A perfect place to relax and recharge. Try out the cold plunge -- if you dare. Also, ask the host for recommendation for local wine tasting places nearby.

Matteo was a host extrardinar. Our visit was planned last minute and still he organized a visit to a Monferrato vineyard and made a reservation at a truly spectacular restaurant. His farm home is historic and yet so artistically curated and comfortable. An unplanned visit on our last night in Italy turned into our favorite part of out trip. Grazie La Fornace!

The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. He showed us around the property and gave us really good suggestions to eat. He gave us many gifts and the room was clean. We showed up on little notice and our host made it very worth while. I would stay there again.

Quiet and posh location. The hosts were very helpful and communicative.

Excellent stay: the place is very quiet and relaxing. Lots of lush greens around the house, a little forest just round the corner and some charming history behind the Fornace. Owners are very welcoming and willing to help you turn your stay into a lovely tour of all sorts of tastes of the land, from food to wine.

We really had a nice stay. The apartment is spacious, airconditioned, quiet, and very clean. It had everything we needed for one night, but you could stay much longer. I recommend this apartment.

They gave us a multiple bedroom suite which was very well equipped (AC, Fire TV, mosquito nets, …). The property is quite big and has an interesting history. Also the owner has a cool humour and speaks English fluently. Only the bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but that‘s already a bit nitpicky … hope to come back there soon!
