From the moment Danielle, the owner, welcomed us at the front desk, we felt an immediate warmth and genuine hospitality that set Sempione Boutique Hotel apart. Danielle and her team embody the very essence of what makes a stay memorable — not just the beautiful surroundings, but the people who make you feel truly cared for.
We had stayed at a larger property in Stresa before, which was lovely but felt impersonal. Here, every interaction was personal and heartfelt. Breakfast, served with care and attention, felt intimate and special - and the stunning views of the lake made the morning unforgettable.
When I encountered difficulties arranging travel through a Spanish agency I’d found online, her team went above and beyond, calling the agency, speaking in Spanish, and getting everything sorted. Even after we had checked out, when my son lost his phone on the ferry, Danielle was the calm in the storm, guiding us through the process and helping us work out our next steps.
This is what hospitality should be: people who care, creating experiences you’ll treasure long after you’ve left. If you visit Stresa, stay here. You’ll leave with not just fond memories of the place, but of the people who made it special.

Definitely the place to stay in Stresa! Really amazing from design, mood, location and especially wonderful staff! Daniela and her team are simply amazing, warm, very kind, involved, open and empathic, they really make you feel welcomed and listen to client’s voice! Great value for money, very very clean space and really nice rooms with great bathrooms! And the location could not have been any better! Totally recommend it!

Recently renovated to a very high standard, it provides a perfect experience for guests. The stand out is the roof terrace, which is always available for guests to use whilst doubling as a breakfast area in the morning and a bar area In The evening

A brilliant hotel in a beautiful location

My husband and I just finished a 5 night stay at Hotel Sempione. We had an amazing experience! Our room was spacious, well designed, immaculately clean, and had a lovely view of the lake. All members of the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is located walking distance to many resaurants, to the ferry terminal and to shopping. We enjoyed drinks several evenings on the rooftop, and as an added bonus, got a spectacular view of the lunar eclipse one night during our stay. We highly recommend Hotel Sempione if you are visiting Stresa!

This hotel is simply wonderful in every way! Daniela and her entire staff go out of their way to assure that your stay is perfect. The hotel, recently renovated is stylish and elegant. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a treat. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely hotel -- we will surely return and highly recommend that you book here for a perfect stay in beautiful Stresa.

We had a great week in a clean new hotel, after general renovation in corona period. We enjoyed an amazing view to the lake from the window, a central , but quiet place, and wonderful breakfasts on the roof of the building. Thanks to the owners of hotel for a homely and fun feeling.

We stayed at this lovely small family-run hotel for 4 nights, in 2 rooms, in August 2022.

The hotel is great, recently renovated, and you could actually feel that everything was brand new. The hotel is centrally located, just by the lake and next to the old city.

We had a great breakfast on the rooftop of the hotel, overlooking Lago Maggiore, which included fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, fresh pastries, and a great selection of cheese and meat.

The secret of this hotel is the owners- Daniella and her husband made us feel at home from check-in to check-out, and made our stay there a memorable one!

Amazing hotel, BRAD NEW (it opened end of June 2022 after a full refurbishing and with new owners), stylish, amazing location (1mn from boat for the Borromée islands, 4mn walk to many restaurants and shops and 6mn walk to a really nice beach). But what makes this hotel stand apart are the owners and the staff who are the NICEST ! It feels like you are staying with family. They go out of their way to welcome you and take care of you, including dropping me themselves at the train station when I couldn't find a taxi ! I will definitely come back !

I was one of the first to stay in the Sempione after its remodeling, and it is wonderful. Everything brand new, elegant and comfortable. The view from the terrace is unbelievable, and the managers and staff are delightful -- with a real eye for detail. Would definitely go back... soon!
