New Barcavela in Santa Margherita

Don't be fooled by the room photos, we wanted a room with a balcony and by consulting the hotel's website we opted for a "deluxe, sea view" room for 4 days (mid-September 2024) which we booked directly with the hotel. When we arrived we noticed that our room did not have a balcony, that the window was opaque and that, from the door leading to the passage to another room, we could actually see the sea over the other houses in the complex. In addition, our room was connected to the room next door and we could hear the neighbors' conversations. We asked to change rooms, but the hotel manager, contacted by phone, refused any change except for the "junior suite" with a significant supplement. She also refused to refund our stay. So we stayed 4 days in this hotel, well located, but very poorly managed, no bottled water, restaurant closed, not even a bar, orange flavored syrup at breakfast, no swimming pool, paid parasol, poorly maintained exteriors, no tourist signs... The 2 stars are awarded for the location of the hotel, quiet and overlooking a beautiful beach.

Terrible music, too bad!! The place would be nice if only they played decent music that everyone likes, but people got bored. Better a playlist on spotify! Leave it alone, change venue if you want to have fun or change the DJ: it costs you less and people have more fun
