Bonorum in Palermo

I haven't even seen the rental that was offered on September 7, 2025, in Santa Sofia - Castellammare Vucciria - Palermo because, despite a deposit requested and paid via bank transfer, on the day of occupancy (September 26-September 30, 2025) it was not available because it was already occupied by other guests! In technical terms, "overbooked"!!! After insisting on having accommodations that met our needs (considering that on the evening of the 26th it was pouring with rain in Palermo!!!), we were offered accommodations in other rooms, providing the wrong location and address, for two nights and returning for the remaining two nights to the location we requested! Only by contacting the new landlord were we able to reach our destination! On Sunday, when we were supposed to return to Via Santa Sofia, the manager of the Bonorim B&B told us to go to another property they manage, referred to as the one on Via Catania...,,, even further from the area we had initially chosen! I declined, not wanting to waste time on other trips and moving away from the historic center, and asked to stay in the location where we were staying to finish our "vacation"! It was a terrible experience; the UNRELIABILITY of this manager will make us reconsider our future choices!!!

If I could give it 0 stars, I'd gladly do so. It's not a B&B, but a rooming house, but that's the lesser of two evils. THERE'S A STRONG SMELL of smoke at all hours of the day, both in the hallway and in the rooms, and even though I smoke, I noticed it right away. If you want to be permissive, you can overlook it. The bed was literally torn, the pillows were missing pillowcases (some of them dirty), and two out of three had cuts with pieces of sponge sticking out. The headboard was broken, and at the slightest movement, everything creaked. The sheets weren't scented, but they seemed clean. But let's get to the worst part. I understand the building is old, but that doesn't justify the broken and poorly soundproofed windows; you could hear everything, at any hour of the day or night. The cleaning lady, though friendly, has a bad habit of talking on the phone loudly while doing chores, so much so that the first morning she woke us up because she was arguing on her cell phone. I could go on and on, like the refrigerator we had to turn off every night because it was making such a loud noise, or the fact that I had to get out of bed every night in the middle of the night to knock on the door of the guest next door to ask them to turn down the music!!! UNFORGETTABLE!! We didn't sleep a wink for 4 long nights! We wouldn't recommend it; the only positive thing was the location.

The rooms aren't soundproofed at all, it feels like a dormitory. Already at 7 a.m., you can hear people talking and walking in the hallway as if they were inside the room. The TV is tiny, but that's about it. The bathroom faucet leaks at the base, and, surprisingly, (deluxe room, mind you), the bed creaks in an absurd way. Everything is fine, but the basics are lacking here. The air conditioning made a clicking noise during the night, waking me up several times. The pillows aren't at all comfortable. I hate to write this negative review; I rarely do, but the lower price doesn't justify the lack of various amenities. I would have paid a maximum of 25 euros for a stay here. Instead, we paid more than double. Never again.
