Apparently, the hotel was completely renovated in 2009, but it seems they missed some rooms. Anyway, the price per night compensates for all deficiencies

Easy parking with payable. Big market near the hotel every morning. Rooms are enough and higher landscape.

The hotel was neat and clean that staffs helped clean the bathroom and bed every day, we had an incredible stay in 4 nights

Good experience overall. Fine breakfast, ok location, parking options are there, staff is nice and communicative, can't complain about anything really. We had a nice experience.

For those who might want cup noodles for supper, you better do it before 22:30 :) For the location, it was quite far away from the city centre, there was bus stop right next to hotel, but the bus never came… we had waited for at least 30 minutes but still couldn’t see our bus coming

Quality-price ratio is quite good on this hotel. However, if you are walking there it is a bit far from the main attractions and you have to walk through a very shady area during the night time

Nice hotel, been there 2 nights. Food was good enough, the place is near Palermo's center. Room and service were standard, not the best but still way over the bare minimum.

But besides that, 35 mins walk to station. Attractions are all near the station. The counter lady service quality need to improve. Some cheap one bed room does also has the view of the ocean

It’s kept in open room close to reception theoretically reception watches over it but when i came to pick up my luggage stuff at front desk was overwhelmed with guests and just walked in took my stuff no questions asked (and people in reception weee different shift that did not know me, so ai would not be v supportive if anyone could walk in and take your luggage)

The hotel's breakfast is served on the 14th floor, which is a bit difficult to reach by lift at breakfast time, but the breakfast itself is tasty and extensive, including scrambled eggs and fried bacon

We actually drove longer distances outside Palermo with our rental car and walked or took the bus to the centre. The swimming pool is located on the roof, but it was exceptionally small sized

Pool opens May 1 but you can sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air and greenery surrounding the pool. Terrific restaurant and attentive wait staff. Room was generously sized and super clean

Great location a 15 min walk from central train station and on the waterfront. You do have to walk 10+ minutes to get to restaurants and 15+ min to the historic city center

Staff were great, taxi stand at the hotel was super convenient as was the hop on hop off and other bus stops right there. Great views of the mountains and seaside

The room faces the sea directly... it's very beautiful, just a bit low on the floor. There's a famous Chinese restaurant and a noodle shop about a 15-20 minute walk away, which is pretty good. Breakfast was decent.

The hotel was amazing only thing that always loud because of road in front. And also 2 minuses one is that when I was opening the window it was entering the smell of ****. The second is that it’s far from sea

The breakfast spread is also the biggest & most beautiful I’ve seen in at least a decade. The staff are so hospitable and very handsome. 😂 I *must* give it 5 stars because that’s what it is

The service staff is enthusiastic and has a good attitude. There is a parking service for 50 euros a day. The price/performance ratio is good. The hotel restaurant is very beautiful. The service is top-notch in Europe

This hotel is astonishingly beautiful. The bedrooms & bathrooms are very comfortable and luxuriously appointed. The gym is the biggest & classiest I’ve ever seen at a hotel

The gym on the top floor is comfortable and a great extra for a city-center hotel. Breakfast was very good—every morning my omelette was perfectly prepared, and the staff were always kind, attentive, and smiling

I stayed at Hotel Des Palmes in Palermo from December 10th to 15th, 2025, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are excellent, very clean, well maintained, and with high-quality amenities

Beautiful hotel within a short walk to all the sites you might want to see on a trip to Palermo. The hotel was lovely, and all of the staff were helpful. It is a beautiful as it looks in the pictures.

There's a wide selection of sweet breads and desserts (mini panna cotta, cassata, cannoli, etc. The staff will also bring you your favorite coffee drink, and I followed the Italian custom of choosing a cappuccino

It's a little far from Treniaria Central Station and the bus terminal, about a 15-minute bus ride or over 30 minutes on foot, but it's an ideal location for sightseeing during your stay

We had a short stay at this hotel. Its main advantage is its location, a 10-minute walk from the city center. However, it's not a true 4-star hotel. The room was small and, above all, outdated

The hotel is clearly not up to the standard of other 4-star hotels in the Accor chain. It's in dire need of renovation. The shower is tiny, and the bathroom paint was peeling in places

We didn't have a bad stay, but we were disappointed by the quality, which was far below what one would expect from a 4-star Accor hotel

As for breakfast, it also fell short of 4-star standards

Costs so little to have a few umbrellas on hand or can I suggest, remove this service from the Accor website. Breakfast was disappointing to say the least and I imagine only supplied beacuse this is an Ibis Styles thing

Our room was okay, but nothing special. That might be because we had one of the older, unrenovated rooms. As we passed by other rooms, we noticed that many of them had already been modernized and looked much nicer

Great location to explore palermo on foot and exceptional staff. Recommend taking the time to have some drinks on the rooftop terrace at night or taking a coffee up in the morning. The room was spacious, clean and tidy

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is very good in the city centre which is convenient to any place. The airport bus pick up point is about 5 mins walk

Really loved our stay. Spacious room, lovely balcony over looking the square and air con was super efficient. Could do with more wardrobe/ cupboard space but we just loved the room. It was ideal.

We walked to and from the Opera house area with no problems. There is a gelato shop just on the corner from the hotel that has the best gelato. The hotel is situated across from the square, Teatro Politeama Garribaldi

The only major drawback is the high cost of on-site parking; €25 is unacceptable for a business stay

The property is under a 10 minute walk from the Lolli train station. There are a few restaurants and a 24/7 grocery store close by which is nice. About a 20 minute walk to the monuments you’d like to see

The hotel reception staff were welcoming and provided excellent service; I was quite satisfied with the hotel. The parking lot is right in front of the hotel, and the restaurant is quiet and clean.

The front desk was excellent. We arrived early and they allowed us check in. The front desk booked restaurants for us in advance and were always cheery! Fantastic stay!

The hotel was lovely, clean and the staff so friendly. Breakfast was peaceful and delicious in the courtyard I slept so well after long days walking the Mercado Ballaro!

Tourist attractions such as the Royal Palace and the Cathedral are within walking distance, and there are many restaurants around at night, so there was no problem

On the other hand, it is lively until late at night, but since my room did not face the main street, it did not bother me

The hotel is one of the safest in Palermo, as it is a pedestrian zone with constant traffic until late at night

Just be aware that it's in the ZTL, so driving costs money and parking is a pain

Located in the center of Palermo, it is a 10-second walk from the intersection of Via Maqueda and Via Vittorio Emanuele, which are a must-see for tourists

The Sicilian specialty cannoli and fresh juice at breakfast were delicious. The staff were very kind and quickly responded to requests for moving suitcases and amenities

Loved staying here. It is located a walking distance from landmarks, the staff are very nice, discreet and helpful. The food is good, the coffee, of course, is any coffee lover's dream. And the rooms are very clean.

Nice, beacose it is in the middle of the centre, but there isn't any swimming poll. The hotel is also big and there are some food in the freadge. The breakfast is good and it is at 8:00

We had a great room with a balcony. Breakfast, which was included, was fantastic. The hotel is very well located yet not too close to the main tourist streets which are more noisy. Would go again if back Palermo

Good position to explore Palermo

Nice place. Luca and Luciano /the guys from the hotel were very kind. Parking in blue zone costs 1 euro per hour from 8 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. From 2 pm to 4 pm there is no charge.

Spent 4 nights here in March, 2025. We cannot praise the staff enough - they were all excellent. The reception staff on arrival, and throughout were extremely helpful

Another big thank you to the domestic staff - the initial pillows were a little wooly; however, this was soon sorted and firmer pillows were sorted

It felt a lot like Bourbon Street in Louisiana during the weekend with the street lined with happy people until the early morning. I ended up joining in my last night and had a fantastic time

I have stayed at Italian 5 star hotels who could learn from this one--thanks we are a group of well travelled 'older' guys who enjoy short breaks --100% satisfied with this hotel and indeed Palermo

The staff was awesome and very helpful. Street noise a bit loud. Shower door needs attention. Step down in extra room needs signage. Room 103. Can be very dangerous

The street side room is above restaurants so noise volumes are a bit louder but i was so tired that it did not keep me up

Breakfast buffet is very good. The location is also good if you don't mind a bit of a walk. It is directly reachable by airport bus (6 eur in October 2025), bus stop is around the corner)

While some reviews are fair (e. hotel being dated, walls being thin), one also has to consider other factors. The hotel is good value for money and its best asset are its employees who are just wonderful

Now the main topic, the room (I almost give 1 star) because when I checked in they give me room number 16, which totally different that the picture they put in room booking platform, and it is very old and dirty, especially the air conditioning (I cannot sleep until 03am, and I sent email to hotel management, to clean immediately or change room) you can see in my picture to be objective on what I am...

Room for improvement, is really about renovation, at least clean up the air conditioning regularly, and modernization of some equipment (I mean new haird dryer nowadays only cost like 20 30 euro branded one) and desk table without bulb, I mean lamp bulb is only few euros

One night we did not have hot water, but it was quickly resolved once reported to the Front Desk. Overall the room suited our needs well. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there are many cafes nearby

Great location and affordable price. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with cannoli and brioche. Some light bulbs in my room were not working and the bed mattress with springs was not the best

Room was clean and hotel in an excellent location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. The room itself was a little dated, but well-equipped with a sitting area and kitchen

Repairs and upgrades are underway - we heard construction during our stay but nothing too disruptive. Housekeeping came every other day instead daily (this may be because I'd booked a Studio instead of a regular room)

They turn it off in the cooler months for the whole building! Was not informed of this on check in and after waking in a seat at 1am went to the desk and they told me to open the window

Amazing experience at Albergo Mediterraneo. Right in the heart of Palermo, everything is close by. Big room and great breakfast. I recommend this place and I will come back next time I'll be visiting Palermo.

Staff was fantastic, clean rooms and very centrally located. We had a car and free easy parking on the street nearby. Only recommendation I would like to add that the spa and masseuses would have later hours of opeartion

However, the air conditioner in the room seemed to be broken or something; it was always off no matter how many times I pressed the button, so it was very cold in the room at night. The bathroom was warmer than the room

The location is easy to find, near the beach, and there are many restaurants on the pedestrian street outside. There's also a Chinatown nearby, which made me feel safe
