Leone Suite B&B in Palermo

I really cannot recommend this accommodation. The breakfast was extremely poor – only pastries and sweets, nothing substantial. The staff was polite, but that was the only positive thing. The room itself was terrible. Right outside the balcony there was a water pump (or similar device) that was extremely loud, making it almost impossible to sleep at night.

On Booking.com it says the bed is 2 meters long – this is absolutely not true. The bed was barely 1.70 meters, so my feet were literally hanging off the edge.

To make things worse, I was charged €50 for a late check-in just because my flight was delayed. This is not only outrageously expensive, but also completely unfair to guests who have already paid for their stay. I’ve never experienced something like this anywhere else.

Honestly, if you can, avoid this place. My fault for not reading the reviews more carefully.

Charged 50 euro extra for a late checkout when our flight was delayed, AC was broken during a 40* heatwave, had to muscle out with the key every time we tried to close or open the door, breakfast was terrible. At least it was quiet.
