A beautiful hotel with fantastic and very pleasant people. We loved it and will definitely return. A very clean and central hotel with a truly unique style. I highly recommend it.

Spend your honeymoon here!! Because it's like we were on our honeymoon... Wonderful hotel. As magnificent as they used to be. A true 5 star. Elegant, spacious, clean and wonderful. Not at all exaggerated. With all the amenities. Truly a true 5 star. Breakfast is served at the table with Sicilian delicacies and much more (excellent freshly made cannoli)... You heard right... Cannoli for breakfast. You will meet Davide. One of the best waiters I have ever met. Distinctive, professional and unobtrusive. Praise to him, and also to the director Mrs. Gisella, who honored us with an incredible bottle of prosecco; Orazio, who greeted us upon our late night arrival, and all the other colleagues, including Roberto, Wim and Marco, who will make your stay unique. Thanks also to patients Alisa and her colleagues at breakfast, Claudia, and the promising intern Isabella. Very patient and always with a smile. We'll definitely be back.

We have just spent three nights at Grand Hotel Wagner and it was outstanding in every way!! Our family stayed in three rooms and each one was beautifully appointed with fabulous toiletries, nice towels, nespeesso machines, and tea pots. The hotel bar was wonderful and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was a fabulous display of assorted treats. The hotel is well situated in the old section of town and as such is filled with gilded light fixtures and wonderful architectural details. But the personal service is the star of the show! Everyone was kind and friendly. The door men, the baggage porters, the front desk….all were friendly and welcoming. We have to give a special thank you to Davide who served us breakfast on two of our mornings. He is a shining example of what personal service and attention to detail should be. Davide is warm, genuine, and extremely kind. Having this personal attention was a special treat which elevated the entire experience. Well done!!

Beautiful hotel within a short walk to all the sites you might want to see on a trip to Palermo. The hotel was lovely, and all of the staff were helpful. It is a beautiful as it looks in the pictures.

The hotel has an excellent location, making it very convenient to get to the opera house and the city center. The breakfast spread was generous, and the front desk staff could communicate in English. Although the hotel is rated five-star, the decor and facilities are showing their age.

I am currently staying at the Grand Hotel Wagner and, unfortunately, I am having a disappointing experience with one essential point: the air conditioning is not working, even though it is clearly listed as an included feature both on Booking and on the hotel’s own website. Upon arrival, I was informed that the AC is turned off during this season and that nothing can be done. Our original room was extremely hot, and despite several attempts from the staff, there was no solution. We were eventually moved to a less hot room, but it is smaller.

It is a serious management issue to advertise a service and simply not provide it.

To be fair:
• the hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and well located;
• the breakfast is excellent;
• the reception staff have been very kind and are trying their best, but it seems they have no support from the hotel management to resolve this kind of problem.

Overall, the structure is good, but the hotel is not delivering the service that was advertised, and for that reason my review is negative.

What a mistake. Booked this hotel for 3 nights and found out when I got to my room that all deluxe rooms and suites are facing the Main Street. Palermo is a town of motor scooters and all night long you can hear them.

I have a junior suite (paid for by me 100%) and you can listen to those motorcycles day and night. OK. The thermostats (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) will not turn on the a/c system. If you like 78 degrees make sure you ask for room 308. The front desk tried to regulate the temp to 20 degrees, 21 degrees, 22 degrees and the system will not turn on. I asked for a room that I could sleep in tonight and he said there aren't any.

My suggestion is that there are many hotels in Sicily and this is not a good choice. Sorry folks, but this is an honest comment and we are here in Europe until December 28th. I guess I shouldn't have stayed at the Madarin Oriental in Munich or on a Viking ship, both of which were perfect. After tomorrow I can forget about this hotel and if you take my word for it, you should forget about it before you make your reservation.

[A first-class hotel with a classic style reminiscent of aristocratic life]

This hotel is located in a hotel area one street west of Palermo's main thoroughfare, Via Roma. It's a little far from Treniaria Central Station and the bus terminal, about a 15-minute bus ride or over 30 minutes on foot, but it's an ideal location for sightseeing during your stay.

[Excellent Points]
First and foremost, the building's stately atmosphere and first-class hospitality are exceptional. This charming hotel was renovated from a grand 20th-century aristocratic palazzo, and the lobby and the bar beyond are luxurious and comfortable spaces. You'll also be escorted to your room by a front desk staff member and porter.
The room's interior and furnishings are in a traditional style, revealing the hotel's long history of careful use. The bed was thick and fluffy, providing a comfortable sleep.
Next, breakfast. The breakfast area is located on the fourth floor (the top floor) of the building, and although it's buffet-style, it offers a wide variety of items. There's a wide selection of sweet breads and desserts (mini panna cotta, cassata, cannoli, etc.). The staff will also bring you your favorite coffee drink, and I followed the Italian custom of choosing a cappuccino. It was delicious, with perfectly crafted milk foam and a rich flavor. ☕️

[Disappointments]
Regarding the room, while the bathroom area was spacious overall, the shower was small, with barely enough space to wash. Considering it's a luxury hotel, I think it would be nice if all rooms had a larger shower space with a bathtub.
Also, there was quite a bit of noise from the road outside. Even with the windows properly closed, I could occasionally hear street noise and traffic, even late at night. I wish they'd improve the soundproofing a bit.

However, overall, it was a very comfortable and satisfying stay, and a memorable hotel to commemorate my visit to Palermo. Thank you!

Staying at the Hotel Wagner in Palermo was a great experience! The hotel and rooms were gorgeous and spacious. The hotel is in a great central location within walking distance of a ton of amazing food, shopping, and entertainment. All of the staff were so kind, hospitable, and helpful. Davide, whether at the breakfast buffet or behind the bar, always remembered us and made an effort to say hello and get us anything we needed.

We would recommend the hotel to anyone and look forward to hopefully staying again in the future. Grazie!
