Palazzo Villelmi in Cefalu

We just happened on this hotel and thought it was so perfect! The room was charming and comfortable and you could not have been in a better location. There is a roof deck with huge views and the perfect place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. This hotel was a great value and we highly recommend it.

We stayed one night in Palazzo Villelmi. Our room was lovely and the location is excellent- very close to the Duomo. Federico met us upon arrival and was so helpful with an excellent restaurant booking in Cefalu, and also gave us information about places in Palermo. Highly recommended.

We booked a room from Saturday to Wednesday in the first week of March. When our taxi dropped us off about a quarter mile away from the hotel, Federico, the owner of the hotel met us and helped us carry our suitcases. This was entirely unplanned and foreshadowed how amazing our time in Cefalù would be in no short order due to Federico’s recommendations and the network of folks he knows in this small beach town. He is the epitome of “I know a guy”-ism in the greatest way imaginable. He gave us a list of ten restaurants to try and we went to one for each meal except one (and this was only because we wanted to try a new place for every meal and some restaurants are closed on certain days). Every single restaurant and cafe he recommended was incredible (this isn’t hyperbole, literally every single one) and offered a unique insight in to Sicilian cuisine. He helped us get reservations when we needed them and provided recommendations for our other non-food related activities. The hotel itself is well situated and anywhere within the town is easily walkable and it also has a lovely view of the duomo. The rooms are exactly what we wanted since we’d be spending most of our time exploring the area. It is also a great launching point to start the day since the Bar Duomo cafe is right next door where you can get a sweet and/or savory breakfast and coffee and a great spot for aperitivo or desserts whenever you want. I can’t stress enough how much Federico maximized our enjoyment of our trip. We will only stay at an establishment that he operates whenever we visit Cefalù in the future.

Amazing location with a roof top terrace that will knock your socks off! We loved this place, it is a little quirky with the bathroom and shower separate (in the same room) but I have learned in Italy if you want to stay right in the historic centre you have to expect historic buildings. Bed was large and comfy, lovely decor. Loved the balcony looking over the main square, but the highlight was the rooftop terrace. Absolutely amazing for the price of the room. Would retrun in a heartbeat.

Usually I dont write reviews... Meaning that if I am writting I really was impressed. And in a good way. So, Palazzo Villelmi has it all. It's situated in the main square of Cefalu (1 minute from the Cathedral). The accomodation is in an historic buildind. You can literally feel the past / the tradition of Sicilly. The rooms were so clean... I felt at home. But, most important is the personnel deserving the place. Greetings to Mariagrazia, Carmela and Francesco. They made everything look easy. Their concern about the arrival hour, the attention to the details and their smile from the heart.... Well, if you need more you are asking for a complete reconstruction of the place. And you'll be on the moon (or outside Italy and Europe) with no more human and Sicillian touch. Conclusion: I felt home. Grazie per tutto!!

Awesome place! The terrace is magnificent, with a view on the cathedral and the sea (beautiful sunsets!), location is 10/10. The bed was good, I slept well on it, the room & bathroom were also nice. Breakfast was good! Good coffee, sweet and savory options (croissants, biscuits, jam, ham, eggs, etc.), and even fruits. Giuseppe was very kind and attentive, offered me to help me with my bags, was flexible regarding check-in, and generally made sure that I felt comfortable. Would definitely come back.
